And you overlooked the fact that this is the 5th round. Get over it.
Fifth round, so no talent can come out of 5th round? Let me name a few Talents that came out of the SIXTH round for you, Tom Brady, Terrell Davis, and Shannon Sharp. This guy has no potential, $20 bucks says he won't be on the team next year. Try not to speak out your ass next time.

Out of all of the sixth rounders taken in the last 15 years, how many turned out to be Tom Brady or Terrell Davis, and how many never made a roster?

And the point is at this point, you don't know till they are on the field. Weep and Gnash baby.

We will take these picks, and see what we find. or were you so aware last year that you were calling for Horton in the 7th?

Just relax, it will be ok.
I think they wanted him in part because not only does he have upside (god I hate that word) but he also seems like he has the speed to cover from the LB position. It also seems like he's an effective blitzer. However was this guy really the best player on their board where you have Duke Robinson and Jamon Merideth available.
I'm still sulking about that fact, We haven't addressed o-line and Duke Robinson was there but we took cody glenn??? I hope they see diamond in the rough attribute in him cause I'll be bitchin about this pick. It looks like Dallas Sartz all over again.

I bet you if we took Robinson, not only would he make the Team and cut Fabini/Clark, but he is likely to take over RG from Thomas net yr or 2, than Cody Glenn making the team and starting at WLB.

Chris Horton, Marques Colston 7th rounders. All of these players have/had immense potential, they are players who have been plagued by injury, nor have they been on the other side of the ball for their entire careers. This guy was an unproductive RB for the three years before he switched to become an underproductive LB. C'mon, we all know the late round are a shit shoot but at least go for players who have POTENTIAL to become something great, this guy might play special teams if we're lucky.

Can we wait until he's in pads on our field before we start making such speculations?

Let's face it, people said Brady had no potential, or he would not have made it to the 6th round.

Well we picked up a guy on the 3rd round last year and didn't see a minute on the field. The Raiders picked up a guy with the 7th overall pick that they could have easily picked in the 2nd round. All I'm saying is that you were overreacting, no need to get nasty there.

True, but it's a hit or miss with the draft, even in the first round. For every Chris Horton, there's a Dallas Sartz. Now if the FO had traded up for Sanchez, you would have seen me ranting off in here.

The problem people had with Brady was he was the most "unathletic" quarterback that they had ever seen, they didn't think that he could avoid the rush in the pocket. Other than there weren't really ny glaring negatives on Brady.

C'mon guys....toughin up, maybe go change your diaper. The guy calls someone an ass, and everyone gets their feelings hurt, lol.

Anyways........Duke Robinson would have been nice. And "late" rounders are a crap shoot, but taking someone that wasnt gonna be picked is plain stupid. Like has already been said, Id like to see them at least address a need when your rolling the dice.
