Re: Punts vs. Field Goals
Punts vs. Field Goals. I give the narrow win to Punts, but its been really close this year.
Man I am the OP's worst nightmare, lol. |
Re: Punts vs. Field Goals
I heard Zorn this morning on CSN saying he'll be bringing in punters this week in case Smith's treatmeants do not go well.
He ALSO said whether he punts or not, Hunter will remain the holder since he and Suisham have a good thing going this season. Suisham seems to be a lot better since Hunter took over holding, it's amazing. |

Really, you cannot think of one player that we could sit for a game and not miss their production? For some reason I looked up hunters ranking and he is ranked 31st in the NFL but I'm not sure how they rank punters. We will be the first team to look at a punter and instead of punting we will have them run the 40. |
Re: Punts vs. Field Goals
Pakulak signed to the practice squad
Glenn Pakulak Don't have any link. It's interesting that he was signed to the practice squad (if I heard right) because that would make ineligible to play on Sunday |
Re: Punts vs. Field Goals
Actually Hunter is Ranked with the 20th Average and the 12th Net average. Net Average is the one you really care about. He is tied for 18th for punts inside the 20 with 5 of them.
Interestingly the Skins have only punted 15 times this season. (One of the lowest in the league). |
Re: Punts vs. Field Goals
Yeah, I think it wouldnt be a good think if we ranked higher for punts inside the 20. Means our offense is giving the ball up a lot.
Seems like we aren't; we just aren't scoring. |
Re: Punts vs. Field Goals
I can think of at least twice that guys (Westbrook week one against the Giants is one example) whiffed on the ball and it rolled into the end zone. Hunter can only do so much

Re: Punts vs. Field Goals
The Skins aren't going to use Alridge so cut him to make room for a new punter.

Well we waste spots on rb's and wr's that should play but don't. No harm in using an extra spot for someone who actually plays. |
Re: Punts vs. Field Goals
ummm 10-20 yds diff avg in punting is HUGE
5-10 also is |
Re: Punts vs. Field Goals
Pakulak will punt and hold this Sunday, Hunter will be inactive
|
