Re: Kelly Playing with Hurt Thumb
Sounds like an excuse. A hurt thumb does not prevent a wide receiver from getting separation from a defensive back or fighting for a reception. BUST. Another wasted draft pick.

Re: Kelly Playing with Hurt Thumb
It's looking that way.
Why play an injured player when you have another just as good (MARKO) waiting on the sideline? I don't get it. It seems like the high drafted players have to have a broken leg before they get benched. It is not like Kelly is having a probowl season. Sit him down if he is injured! WTF! |
Re: Kelly Playing with Hurt Thumb
I say rest him till the thumb heals and let's see what Marko can do.

I aree, and we do see him open on plays when there are other breakdowns and Campbell is unable to get him the ball. Not always open by a wide margin, but open nonetheless by NFL standards. |
Re: Kelly Playing with Hurt Thumb
He has a degenerative thumb condition from playing to much Call of Duty and FIFA.

Fully-torn ligaments do not heal and require surgery. Partial ones CAN heal on their own. |
Re: Kelly Playing with Hurt Thumb
Zorn said DT will get more pt, if he can make a few plays then he might be the starter v. KC. Of course, he's had his chances to win the job before.
