I think Hall might have a legit gripe about what went on there. Smith and the strength coach had no business getting involved like that.
It looks like both the ATL staff and Hall overreacted. Still, this shouldn't have happened if Landry had acted right. |
re: The D. Hall incident
The hit OB was late but it didn't warrant a bench clearing brawl like that, the ATL bench has to have some responsibility in all of this.

Well lucky for them Hall was involved, so no one will hold them accountable. |
re: The D. Hall incident
if you watch that video, at the 1:07 mark, the ATL coach has his hands holding DHalls jersey and he pulls DHall into the mob of Falcons players. I have no idea what was said, but that coach clearly should be fined. And it looked like the ATL head coach took an elbow shot at DHall's helmet too(1:14-1:16).

You might want to say the same thing about Hall, he had no business leaving the playing field and getting involved in a sideline dispute that didn't origionally involve him. I'm trying hard to see where/why he's exempt from blame. |
re: The D. Hall incident
What?!?! a Dan Snyder/Vinny Cerrato chosen player was a negative addition...that's not possible is it
|
re: The D. Hall incident
I'm not saying Hall is innocent, he has to share some blame too of course. I just don't see where he's the only "bitch" in all this. Smith was a total punk.

Well when you hitting their franchise QB three yards out of bounds one could argue they are backing their QB. I don't think I would have a problem if one of our players went after someone who made a late hit like that. |

I saw the elbow thing but its hard to tell if he took a swing or was just trying to get his arm free. |
re: The D. Hall incident
Landry will always get a pass as long as D.Hall is around. It's funny how people keep focusing on an incident that in the end had no effect on the game (off-setting personal fouls), and completely disregard the poor tackling by the team (including Landry), the terrible play by the defense, and the lack of discipline by a player that is looking more and more to be a bust (Landry).
If Landry had pulled his head out of his ass we wouldn't have had this nor that long run by Michael Turner.
Actually, both fouls were called on the Skins, Landry & Haynesworth, nothing on ATL. And it kept that drive alive and they got the FG at the end of the half off of it. Now, you are right in the end, maybe it didn't matter, certainly Landry's poor play far outweighed this one incident, and Hall maybe jawed a little too much, but it really looked like the ATL bench and coaches went way overboard in their reaction, and they receive no flags or callouts, so yeah DHall should have called them out. I have got no problem with that part, especially after watching the clip several times. The HC definitely gave Hall a shot with his elbow. That is just inexcusable. |
re: The D. Hall incident
Yea, the media will jump on D Hall but they should jump on the ATL coaching staff. ATL should be fined for this one. Uncalled for.
Going to work this morning all i heard was how disgraceful the Skins are. Unbelievable. |

Watch the 18-24 second spot again. The HC pushes his way in to the pile, and then takes the shot. If you watch only him, and Hall, it seems real clear to me. |
re: The D. Hall incident
Hall is a total jackass and so is Mike Smith. For a head coach to go after a player like that is pathetic. However you better believe the Falcons players love him that much more for it.

I didn't think the hit was even that bad. We saw one of our guys get slammed out of bounds a few weeks ago and no flag was even thrown. |

I agree. Landry launched right as Ryan was pulling up and about to step out, what makes it so bad is that if Landry had just changed his angle and launched a second sooner, it would have been a clean hit. Instead he was a second late, and on the wrong angle and hit Ryan out of bounds. It happens, you get a penalty and move on, there was no need for the ATL bench to clear and mob Hall. |
