Tough crowd. The only question I have is how NBC will manage to fit all these guys on one set? Is anyone else nostalgic for the days when two guys (eg JB and Terry) were considered enough for a broadcast? These days on NBC it's like they are trying to field an office softball team of on-air personalities.
They'll be in the booth, not on set. Three man booth
Why so many Theismann haters, he brought us our 1st SB along with Riggo. I'll forever will be grateful to him and to me he was the best modern day era QB the Redskins had. Sonny had the stats but never won a SB. Sammy Baugh was the best ever.
I love Joe too but I can understand why people don't like him. But to say Joe was the best modern day QB we've ever had is crazy. Sonny was one of the most gifted pure passers the game has ever seen. I can't even imagine what Sonny would do if he played in todays game. Joe was pretty much an average QB for most of his career.

Can't wait to hear that game. I'm that will be a treat for all of us old school Redskin fans. Listening to those two for 3 hours will be fun.

Oh wow, I see that now. Yeah, that has the potential to be not so great.

Then be sure to set your recorder for this game because it is likely to be as exhilirating a broadcast of Joe Gibbs reading the dictionary. You'll want to hear it over and over again...

SC, have you heard anything else new on Gibbs by the way?

SmootSmack:

Last I heard, the discussions/contacts had been "adjourned" until after the Holidays. Nothing since then...

OK, yeah I hadn't heard anything either lately

Have you heard anything recently about a certain college coach and a certain offensive coordinator west of the mississippi (more so the former than the latter?)

Re: Theismann and Gibbs to Join NBC for Playoffs

If the college coach west of the Mississippi is a former NFL coach who has won won national championships, I have heard stories but nothing that I can corroborate. Frankly, I cannot see why he would ever leave his college job.

Nothing about a college offensive coordinator...

Nothing about any other college coaches...

That would be the one...at some point I'd think he'd want to try the NFL again. How much more is left for him to accomplish?
Nothing about a college offensive coordinator...
Sorry, I meant an NFL OC...again this one I only heard in passing with not much substance. The above situation though...
Nothing about any other college coaches...
Me neither

There aren't that many former NFL coaches who have won national championships as college coaches west of the mississippi.

It's not that hard to type a name either.

I don't really follow college so I wouldn't know.
