Yeah Matty, I picked up on Gibbs' angry tone about the horrible call-back of Brunell and Portis' TD. I should have communicated that better, thanks.

I'm so pissed off right now about that call I can't see straight. It's probably good I'm in Wisconsin right now (even if it is Packer country) because if I were at FEDEX, I probably would've rushed the field and strangled one of the refs.

I know Gibbs is disappointed with Brunell's play and I admire his loyalty...to a certain extent. I appreciate that he's not going to throw fuel on the fire. He'll be as loyal to Ramsey or anyone else who is under center. That said, I'm still frustrated with Gibbs for keeping Brunell in. How can I not be?

Yes you heard right, as from nfl.com Brunell 66.1 and Favre 61.3.

Yeah, Favre didnt exactly light it up either. He just chucks it up and hopes his guy gets it.

Thats my point we get turnovers but our offense cant do anything with them, unless our d puts us at the 10yd line or so we usually just fizzel out, and punt.

Well, at least our offense *did* score 3 TDs in this game, but I agree with ya....if we get turnovers then punting is not an option.

Right, and there hasn't been a QB controversy, well at least not to the extent that it could be.

There was an open competition for the job, Brunell got the nod and Gibbs has stuck with him. If he was switching back and forth that would cause a much bigger controversy and would likely divide the team.

The only QB controversy that exists is with the fans.

That there is no QB controversy in the locker room is wishful thinking. All the wideouts have got to be a little concerned about passes sailing over their heads, check-downs to backs constantly, and the generally poor passing game.

The O-line can't be too happy about protecting a guy that can't make the throws to wide open recievers, brings blitzing defenses who don't respect the deep ball, and who make the running game difficult because the defenses are stacking the box.

Portis sure can't be happy with Brunell.

The Defense has to be livid with the offense.

Gibbs can't be satisfied with Brunell.

Trust me, Gibbs is doing a good job of putting on a smile, but the QB controversy isn't limited to the fans.

I sure hope so. I'll stick by Gibbs decisions even if I disagree, but if the quote " I didnt even think about playing Ramsey. " is true, he has to seroiusly look at himself and wonder if hes doing the right thing.

Not playing Ramsey is one thing, and I will listen to the arguments and let coach do his thing. If, however, he is 100% on Brunell and isnt even contemplating Ramsey even with a 1/100th of his mind....theres somthing wrong.

If that's true, which we have no idea if it is, my point is at least it's not being magnified in the media which does nothing but throws fuel on the fire.

Gibbs doesn't do his dirty laundry in public and the players respect that.

How do you think people would react though if Gibbs publicly said "I have my doubts about who to play at QB. I'm really not sure. Sometimes I think Brunell should stay in, other times I wonder if Ramsey isn't the better choice. Then I start to wonder what about Timmy. It's all so confusing"

I think at least publicly Gibbs isn't going to give any indication that he's contemplating a change. Behind the scenes is another matter all together.

I too respect that Gibbs doesn't air his dirty laundry. But, at this point, denying that there is a QB controversy reminds me of a scene from "The Naked Gun" where Leslie Neilsen's character is standing in front of an exploding fireworks store saying "There's nothing to see here" while Chinese guys on fire are running out of the store.
