Amen. My kids go to bed at 8, my wife goes to bed at 9, and at that point the PS3 goes on. There's always me time if you want to sacrifice sleep!
So true sadly my wife stays up late and the PS3 is on her DVR TV, well there is always Xbox.
What are you talking about? The kid nearly sleeps 12 hours at night. Do you want her to sleep until noon?
Yes she actually goes to bed around 8 pm every night and will wake up around 7 to 8 am. I think some of it is the child but alot of it is getting the child in a routine. I remember when you announced your childs birth and I recomended the Book "Baby Wise" and from how it sounds you should have purchased the book. She even takes a nap around 1 for an hour or two so thats when I let my wife run errands on the weekends.

Dude I can read Baby Wise until I am blue in the face, have you ever tried to sleep with an inner ear infection? Imagine getting one every three weeks, so much so that you had to get ear tubes surgically placed in your ears, would you sleep good at night?

Consider yourself lucky that your child sleeps through the night and I suggest you don't rub it in, it all could change on a dime, my buddies daughter is 3.5 always been a great sleeper now she suffers form night terrors gets up nearly 3 times a night, is there a chapter in Baby Wise for that?

Sorry to be a jerk but for you to say my childs sleeping problems are becasue I didn't purchase some dumb baby book you are sorely mistaken.

Just like most things with kids, it's part nature part nuture. Some kids just ain't gonna sleep, some will sleep through the second coming regardless. Every responsible parent does the best they can to enforce routine and good sleeping habits. More often than not that helps, but each kid is different. There are some things that even the best parenting in the world cannot overcome. At that point, you grin and bear it and learn to live with a little sleep deprivation.
