Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
Spacek has completely shut down Ovie tonight. He's been invisible. We look like shit.

Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
Effing overtime and the Habs get the first minute and a half on a PP because we love getting stupid penalties. This is not the start to the playoffs I was looking for.

Whats the overtime rules for the playoffs is it until someone scores damnit or shootout? |
Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
Never thought I'd say this earlier in the year but I'm glad we have Theodore.

That sucked ..

Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
Horrible. Losing in OT at home in Game 1 to the number 8 seed. Awful way to start the playoffs. You gotta figure Ovi won't continue to get shutout like this, but still. Very disappointing

No shootouts. They just play until someone scores. Like Montreal just did. SHIT! What a piss friggin poor performance. Disgusting. |
Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
I'd like to see that Montreal goalie stop another 1,000 shots. Theodore played very well. They need to come back though with a way to get better shots on goal. Part of it might have been that they missed BMo tonight but who knows.

Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
The last few days I've read all these articles about how badly the Caps want it, blah blah blah. Show me. A totally unacceptable effort tonight.

I know he can pick it up, I just hope he does.
I am f'ing pissed right now. |

I doubt it. He was a healthy scratch. Odd man out on a loaded team. A loaded team that played like poo poo tonight. |

Re: Stanley Cup Playoffs 2010
If we don't dominate game 2 on Saturday, I'm going to be very, very aggravated.

I just figure that the best way to beat a hot goaltender like we faced tonight is to get a guy who can pass and set up shots. Backstrom was the only playmaker on our roster tonight and one of the biggest problem areas was passing. Adding another playmaker like Morrison should help in Game 2. As for the scratch I think that had to do more with the fact that Bruce was confident he could give the older guys like Morrison and Walker a rest so they could be fresh when (if) we get deeper into the playoffs. |

FML that sucked
