Can you blame him? We followed the exact same position pattern in rounds 4-7 as we did last year in rounds 6-7 (LB, FB/TE, WR). I was convinced before we picked Cook that the pick was going to be a corner, safety, or punter. |
Re: Jets will release Faneca
Faneca has become a turnstile in pass pro, but is still a good run blocker. He would be great in the locker room, and would be good depth if the management wants him.

Like I said before though. Since this is reunion time for the Steelers (McFadden, Foote, ARE) I would fully expect the Steelers to pursue him again. If not them then the Bears seem more likely to pay him the type of money he's looking for. |
Re: Jets will release Faneca
For the right price, it's a no brainer to sign faneca. We can ALWAYS use more OL depth.

Re: Jets will release Faneca
We all know McNabb is a piece of glass, obviously we want the best protection for him, and I think getting someone like Faneca would be GREAT. We don't want to trust a bunch of rookies to protect McNabb.

Re: Jets will release Faneca
In our never-ending quest to win the 2004 NFC East, I feel Faneca would be an indispensable part of our efforts.

Re: Jets will release Faneca
it'd be great if we signed him but i also think the steelers will resign him.

Pitts management already told fans he won't be returning to Pitts so they shouldn't get their hopes up. Whatever that means, but I think he left on kind of bad terms with the FO. |

i hope this is true. Faneca is a good offensive lineman. We need good offensive lineman. |
Re: Jets will release Faneca
Wish he was a few years younger then I could say go for it. Any decent UDFA o linemen out there?

Re: Jets will release Faneca
I would take him next to Mawai next year all day....
Is anyone else as happy as me that we are going to be running the ball all day long next year?!?! |

Id give Tony Washington a shot |

I surprise Tony Washington did not get drafted at least in the 7 rd. I guess because of his past record and him having to register as a sex offender scared teams off. I think he was 18 and the girl was 16-17 yrs old and she had consentual sex with him. To all fools a minor can not have consentual sex because she is underage. So any ways maybe we can sign him as a UDF he deserves a 2nd chance in life its not like he is a child molester. He played at TCU OT. |
Re: Jets will release Faneca
while i do think his skills are diminishing, he is still a better guard than anyone on the roster( other then Dockery)
