Oh well , shanny has something planned I'm not worried
What plan could he possibly have at this point, other than giving away the store for Vincent Jackson? Pinky: "What's the plan for today, boss?" The Brain: "The same plan as every day: to take over the world!" |
It is a shame that we missed out on TJ Who's-your-mama. He could have helped us. However, there is no reason to get too upset. It is not like he was the one missing piece for us or anything like that.
This. Bottomline, our receiving corps is what it is. If KS thought he needed more firepower I would hope that he and Mike would go to BA and get the deal done. Certainly Housh was not a money issue, VJ may be more so the compensation to SD, but at this point with the season starting this Sunday I think this is the team that needs to get it done. I think they can and will! |
Re: Houshmandzadeh signs with Ravens (Adam Shefter)
Well that came out of nowhere. I'm not saying that Moss sucks or anything, but TJ Housh could've compete for the #1 spot and def get more catches with the Redskins.

Re: Houshmandzadeh signs with Ravens (Adam Shefter)
yep, I agree Ruh and C.
Housh would have made a much bigger impact here, and would have had a chance to start week in and week out. In Baltimore he will have a harder time making a big impact. AND we are what we are now, we have who we have and it is time to back this team 100% and BEAT DALLAS!!! |
Re: Houshmandzadeh signs with Ravens (Adam Shefter)
Glad we did not sign him. Looks like the staff is happy with the group that is here. Let's see if Thomas can take the next step. Let's if Banks can be a game breaker. Let's see if Armstrong can continue his splendid play. Instead of always chasing other guys let's see what we have here.

The guy will cost the Ravens only $855,000. He could have easily been a cheap rental with Seattle paying the tab. |
Re: Houshmandzadeh signs with Ravens (Adam Shefter)
Lets close this thread now because who gives a shit about the Ravens?!!

Re: Houshmandzadeh signs with Ravens (Adam Shefter)
i'm happy we didn't get him...I'd rather get a stud in this next years WR class than him. he's got like what 4 years left? maybe less? but this is the deepest WR class I can ever remember.

Re: Houshmandzadeh signs with Ravens (Adam Shefter)
Unsure as to why people thought Housh was the answer to our problems, he's no #1, never has been.
Good for him and good for the Ravens, it's a perfect fit for both of them. |

Good for him and good for the Ravens, it's a perfect fit for both of them.
I think Santana can handle the #1 role, it's just we don't want Joey Galloway actually being the #2. He's 38, he's had like 200 yards receiving in his last two seasons apiece, and I feel the less we have to rely on him, the better. And Housh is easily a quality #2 wideout, even last year in Seattle with their myriad of qb's that played while Hasselbeck was out, he still managed to get to 900 yards receiving. He's better than everybody we've got behind Moss. But all that's under the bridge now that he signed with Baltimore. With all that being said, welcome back Jsarno! |

was going to say they're giving him every chance to become the Franchise QB |

you hit the nail on the head. Altho, maybe the lack of viable options at WR (other than ones that need a walker) make us anty up and pay that 2nd and 5th to get VJ in here.............. |

I agree...I didn't like signing Galloway at all, so clearly I do not want to see him the #2, I'm still holding out hope that Thomas will win that spot. I wouldn't have minded us getting housh, just that I would no way want him as a #1, nor is he good enough to be a #1. So in that sense, I certainly understand what you are saying.
With all that being said, welcome back Jsarno!
Thanks man...I haven't had a lot of time in the recent months...although I might have a little more here since I am waiting for surgery.
