Re: Brandon Banks cut, Ryan Torain bumped to active roster
Banks was crazy fast, but you also need solid fundamentals to be able to play pro football. First order is being able to hold onto the football. Why we signed small, skinny ass receivers is beyond me. You need guys built like TO or Ocho, and "Freak" to get the kind of threat you would think Kyle wants for Donovan. Outside of Trent, and the acquisition of Donovan, this past draft was a waste. Until we decide to keep the first and second rounders, we will never be able to properly build the team up. The only thing that saved this draft was Trent and Donovan. It was like getting two first round picks, but at the expense of future drafts.

U mean the big recievers we had in the 80's????? Or Steve Smith? Wes Welker? Steve Breaston? Torry Holt? DeSean Jackson? Santonio Holmes? Hines Ward? Those kinda skinny as WRs |
Re: Brandon Banks cut, Ryan Torain bumped to active roster
Team coming to thier senses. Long overdue. Torain hasn't impressed me though. Simpson looks to be good unless he's hasn't shown well in practice. Maybe just a gamer.

Dude, Banks weighs less than I do and I am a lightweight!!! If I got hit from a NFL corner or S, I would be toast. Why do you think he had fumblitis? If you want to talk about a prototype WR staturewise that the Skins actually had, I am thinking along the lines of Michael Westbrook, but a guy that could stay healthy. |

Art Monk>Westbrook.

So what if he's light? You cant hit what you cant catch, If Darren Sproles can play RB, Banks can play WR. |

You mean the fumblitis of dropping punts?? Just because you would be toast doesn't mean he would. |
Re: Brandon Banks cut, Ryan Torain bumped to active roster
Banks has to take his own preventive measures to ensure ball security. I think I read somewhere that some coach(Martz?) taught his speedy but lighter WRs to always dive to the ground when the defender is about to get them so they would not get slammed or stood up and stripped.
Gonna have to watch the Bears and my man, Cutler, again this week. |
Re: Brandon Banks cut, Ryan Torain bumped to active roster
sorry to see Banks cut but glad Torain got moved up.But I want to see some playing time out of him in a real game.

Re: Brandon Banks cut, Ryan Torain bumped to active roster
Isnt DT the prototypical body type for a WR?
Can you place Banks on the PS as long as he clears waiver? |
