Given shanny's moves this year, it would be no surprise to see Davis get a lot of action. Banks & Torain have both gone from inactive/PS to playing significant roles.

Wasn't part of the reason davis slipped in the draft due to his running a 4.7 in the 40?

just did a quick search, 4.6 was his slowest at combine but he improved to 4.45 at pro day accoring to these:

He had a good career at Clemson. This guy can be a good pro. He has some explosion.

Why do we have Chad Simpson on the roster if Davis can come up fro the PS and get some carries? I would rather release Simpson and move up Terrence Austin or sign Sinorece Moss who was released by the Giants and let Galloway go.

James Davis out-rushed CJ Spiller all the years he attended Clemson. Spiller was his back-up/change of pace back. I am hopeful he gets the call up to the main roster tomorrow night.

I think we'll get a look at him before too long. I was kinda hoping he'd play too, but realistically, he just got here and I'm sure needs some time to learn the system.

Not a good move IMO. Torian is still hurt and if he can't finish the game we'll be sol.

He's had 2 weeks to rest up what was a minor hamstring tweak. He should be ok.
