Yeah me to just give me the '91 HOGS for my OL. Enjoy retirement Chad, he's a smart guy he'll get an analyst job on some TV channel. |
Re: Best wishes to Chad Pennigton (career ending injury today)
I always liked Chad Pennington. Very accurate, great intangibles. Towards the end there he couldn't throw a ball through a wet paper towel, but he had a very respectable career and won a lot of football games as a starter.
He said after his last surgery he was very close to retiring. I can't imagine he'll try yet another comeback. I think he'd be a good offensive coach in the league. |
Re: Best wishes to Chad Pennigton (career ending injury today)
Yeah. I think his mind wants him to still play, obviously, but he just can't physically do it anymore. His arm can survive a game of catch with his kids, but not what is required of a quarterback, even a backup.
I would say if he still loves the game, then bring him back as a 3rd QB for the fins, so he could be like a player-coach, but i doubt his arm would even survive practice after a 4th major surgery... |

Apparently the Dolphins are looking at hiring Ramsey to add some depth

The 8th time is the charm! Ramsey will be Miami's quarterback of the future! |
Re: Best wishes to Chad Pennigton (career ending injury today)
The Fins also worked out J Russell and Chris Simms apparantley. I'm hearing that they will sign Simms and Ramsey....

Re: Best wishes to Chad Pennigton (career ending injury today)
Update: The dolphins have signed Patrick Ramsey to serve as the backup to Tyler Thigpen. Good luck to Patrick, a former redskin, who I thought never had a fair chance here due to line problems and a coaching carousel. By the time Gibbs II was here with a decent line and good playmakers, Ramsey was shell-shocked and was easily defeated by crafty veteran Mark Brunell in 2005 for the starting job, who had returned to form.
