he was being facetious about the videogame guys c'mon
|
I think we'll see more of that stretch/cut back running that came out in the giants game. It's tough, becuase philly has such a great offense that it becomes difficult to stick with the run. Philly will get their points.
Look, if they over stack the line, we've gotta make them pay with the pass. It doesn't have to be the homerun (though that would be sweet); just enough to keep them honest. |

I figured he had to be....but then again...ya never know... :stop: |
no one's mentioned all the WR screens to Coles. it's been a new staple for Gibbs lately and it seemed to work vs. the Gnats, but then what didn't. it was a major part of our gameplan the first time vs. philly, but it didn't do squat then.
we need to stick with cutblocking their Dline, and let Portis pick his own holes. let him bounce around and cutback at will. his instincts are that good. In Clinton We Trust. |
The whole video game thing was a joke and so is Ramsey's stats over the last 3 years.
http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/302216 He has one decent game and all of a sudden he is accurate? His career average is 53.9% which is pretty shitty if you ask me. |
The whole video game is skinsguy thing he says everyone on the board plays madden and doesn't have any sort of grip on reality.
|
I have never made such a statement, and I find YOUR post very offensive and rude; not to mention a bit immature.
|
Here's the problem, skinsguy. Like you, I don't care what you think.
By everyone you mean everyone that doesn't think Joe Gibbs has called perfect games this season.
Gibbs pays attention to every detail and there are reasons why we see some plays more than others...but believe or not, this is the NFL this isn't Madden football for the playstation.
|
The funny thing is, in this quote...I see nothing about saying "EVERYONE that doesn't think Joe Gibbs has called perfect games this season." What I see is a general statement that says Gibbs pays attention to every detail which is true...and that this is the NFL and not Madden football for the playstation which is also true. That means that none of us here on the board knows anymore about coaching an NFL football team than what Gibbs does. You stated in the other thread that you were not going to comment on this anymore...yet you're coming over to this thread and starting a flame war.

Well that might be true...but of course taking into consideration he was on his back most of last season...regardless... compared to what we have right now...Ramsey is the most accurate QB and at this point gives us our best chance to win. I would have debated that back several weeks ago, especially after the first Giants game, but he's done a pretty decent job in the last couple of games and seems quite comfortable. Receivers catching balls and not dropping them has also helped his confidence too I believe. |
How many times did Spurrier put in Ramsey just to chuck a ball as far downfield as he could and he threw an INT? Does that mean that his INTs also reflect actual bad decesions? Not really? Ramsey had quite a few very good games last year. Let the guy adapt to the new system and we could see Brett Favre II.

Bottom line is this.. Gibbs has always founds a way to make his QB's look better than they are. Look at Mark Rypien. The guy looked like a monster in the early 90's only to end up a back up after Gibbs left. Ramsey will be put in a position to eat teams alive. Gibbs will slowly test him and find his strengths and weaknesses and put him in a position to shine. Given time, almost any QB in this league can be deadly acurrate (except Brunnel). |

Careful Daseal. If you want to make an accusation like that then provide a quote that says exactly that. I for one don't play madden, though it is true I don't have any sort of grip on reality....Skins in Super Bowl XXXIX |

I wouldn't pay to much attention to his "career" average. He hasn't had that much of a career yet. Wait till the end of the season to judge Ramseys performance. And if Ramseys stats are a joke, then who the hell should be our QB? If you wanna talk about a joke, check out Brunells stats for this season. Thats a joke. |
Looks like our defense has a score to settle with these guys too.
http://washtimes.com/sports/20041209-120541-2491r.htm it's good to hear these guys getting hype about the game. You can tell they care and they're out to prove something. I like it. |
