In the NHL don't they play a winter outdoor game just b/c? Why doesn't Goodell aim to make more money and have an ice bowl game? for cold climate teams and have them play in freezing temps?

WTF is this thread about or based on? Answer this question: Who said what to spawn this thread?

Is that finally the answer to question 3?

This where keeping it real goes wrong.

I think there's a link between this thread and the first post in the current NFL stadiums rankings thread; BUT there is an equally strong chance that there is a link between this thread and acid, or vodka, or paint in an unventilated room.

Unrelated - I think the fat chick that lives in the apartment above mine just toppled over.

People who live in glass houses should never throw stones.
Part of what makes Football, Football is the overcoming of variables. Weather being one of them.

Nascar is losing its fan base due to restrictions of what made Nascar, Nascar.
(Im not against safety, Im just stating a fact)
Just saying you can only change a sport so much before it loses it's foundation of what made it a success. The NFL is a hardcore league. That is part of its intrigue.

Making Football a indoor sport takes away part of what Football is or was. Just because the new generation accepts it doesn't change that. IMO.
Football was originally played outdoors because sporting events back in the day were basically in the medieval era ( yes i know the early 1900's were not medieval times but you must get my drift) and we had no technology for domes and massive stadiums etc etc.
Why would you want to hold a sport competition in the rain or snow?
There's a reason the term "rain out" was coined.
There are no stats for "who throws the best spiral in the wind".

I get you but, Do you really not enjoy watching a snow game?

Green Bay vs. KC on Aug 4, 2003:
Game cancelled at 5:49 of 3rd quarter due to inclement weather conditions.

I'm still confused what you're point is, the greatest games of lore are bad weather contests. Remeber the Tampa Bay game of a river flowing down the stairs?

2004, the NFL moved the Dolphins home opener from Sunday to Saturday due to Hurricane Ivan

2010, Philadelphia game postponed due to snow, poor road conditions.

Anyone else aware of this unheard of "rain out" term.

How about the Fog Bowl : December 31, 1988 playoff game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Chicago Bears. Classic. The play by play guy could not see the game from the booth.

Re: Football was meant to be played indoors?

I can think of more games being cancelled,or alternate outdoor venues involving domes. Just a mention of the potential loss, well move, of games in Minnesota next season.

You dont see too many NFL games played on sand.....thats something I'd like to see changed in the 20 game season changes in 2030.

Re: Football was meant to be played indoors?

Dumbest thread EVER!! Football isn't a game played in your living room...that would be checkers. If you can't handle the frigid temperatures at a game...stay the hell home. Football is a man's game...the end!
