Re: NFL trivial factoids.
Dayum...you got me! And obviously I didn't use Google or I would have remembered that Williams was #17! LOL....I think he was #12 with Tampa! Geez.
Oh, I did remember that Dawson was #16, took me a minute to retract that. So who is the other number #12..oh, Kelly! Good catch...haha..you would.
So I finally decided to look this up. I thought the stat was for SBs in the HoF, wore # 12, AND made 22 SB starts. The stat was two separate lines: 1) Players in the HoF that wore # 12 = 7 Bradshaw - 4 SBs Griese - 3 SBs Kelly - 4 SBs Namath - 1 SB Staubach - 4 SBs Total SB starts: 16 Other two HoFers wearing # 12: Arnie Herber, William Roy Lyman 2) SB starting QBs that wore # 12 = 22 (actually 25) see above for 16 SB starts Aaron Rodgers - 1 SB Tom Brady - 4 SBs Kenny Stabler - 1 SB Stan Humphries - 1 SB (wore # 12 w/Chargers) Chris Chandler - 1 SB Rich Gannon - 1 SB Notes: Numbers 16, 22 & 44 are pretty good in HoF also. Trent Dilfer wore #8 when he started the SB for the Ravens |
