Re: Are you buying into the Shanaplan?
So y'all have gone 5-0 in the last five games.
The Detroit Lions also had a 5-game winning streak and went into the playoffs last year. Now they're one of the worst teams in the NFC. Just saying. You gotta wait a little while before you conclude this is something other than a lucky streak. Again, just look at what happened to the Lions.
Pot meet kettle |
SS fell for it..or played along. Either way, good times.
Nah, I think Shanny has made some adjustments of his own, in my opinion. It's been a purging of personalities, players buying in, and coaches getting on the same page. Winning goes a long ways to improving a team's image of itself.
What are you talking about? This is my first time posting in this thread. I didn't fall for anything |
Re: Are you buying into the Shanaplan?
A great QB does that to a team...

I can think of teams like the Eagles and Jets, who both had previous success yet they made some terrible decisions in the offseason that led them to their current situation. In terms of the Shanaplan, I think he had his set of bad decisions (McNabb, the whole Haynesworth fiasco), but Shanny has done very well this season despite the setbacks we've had (injuries/suspensions). The challenge for this team from the top down will be to sustain this success and carry it into next season. For Shanny and BA, the challenge will be to find the right pieces to make our defense consistently successful, and to maintain the success of the offense. |

^ After reading this I thought it might make for some interesting discussion here. Funny how just 5 weeks ago we were discussing blowing the whole thing up... Now where do you stand?
That article was worth mentioning. I think you could see some of it coming together a year ago. The Redskins were excellent on defense and even the offense with Grossman kept the Redskins in most of the games. I would have to say that the addition of play makers via the draft and free agency has greatly contributed in the Redskins playing better this season. Even at 3-6 this year, the Redskins were a very competitive team that were losing close games, just as last season. But you can credit the 5 game winning streak to the whole team playing with a tremendous sense of urgency, me thinks! |

I think we've done better than you in the past five to seven years, and we're on the verge of a playoff berth and NFC East championship, so I'd say just fine. Seriously, how can y'all hate on Jerry Jones when you're stuck with Dan "Official Mattress of Six Flags" Snyder? Jerry cares about the team and about winning, Chainsaw Dan is just in it for the cash. |

As for the NFC East Championship ... see you in FedEx you delusional cowgirl rooting mofo. RGIII's motto is "pressure makes diamonds"; Romo's is "Is this important? I must be choking." |

I have always said, the first one to step back away from the team and get some football people to run it... wins. Took a while, but we are no longer being run by a hot headed fan with money who expects to get his way regardless of how rash or bad the decision is. You still are. Have fun with that. Jimmy Johnson isnt around to save JJ now. |
