No guarantees in Garcon's case that surgery will help.
I fear that Garcon will again miss games due to his foot problems. We have plenty of unresolved injury issues: Adam Carriker is still limping following a setback. It is unknown when or if Fred Davis can come back. Roy Helu is still battling his injury. Joshua Morgan is coming off of several surgeries. Others trying to return from injuries: Brian Orakpo, Brandon Meriweather, Keenan Robinson, Chris Neild, Chase Minnifield, and Jordan Bernstein. Then there is the Big One - RGIII. All of these injured players makes me n-n-n-nervous. |

Depends on the type of injury. |

Thanks to science and technology, lot of players (or people in any case) are healing faster and better. And not to mention, those players have unlimited resources and access to top line of medicine and medical products/therapy than any of us. I probably would not be surprise if one of those players get injured again, but the list is long and the chances are most of them will play lot. |

Because in September it'll be much much worse ;) |
Re: Orakpo says he’s 100 percent
Turn that frown upside down all you.....Debbie's.
Maybe Good things will come the Skins way? We have had some success as of late. You remember we won the division last year, right? Maybe these guys.....Really will come back healthy and contribute. ....Don't worry....be Happy! |
Re: Orakpo says he’s 100 percent
Just saw his interview, Rak seems very hype, I'm just as excited. He is a pro bowl player and makes a big difference on our D when hes playing. Now get us a safety.

Re: Orakpo says he’s 100 percent
I was just now doing some Irish Car Bombs with Robert Griffin III and he's already planning on a first round bye.

Another take on Garcon's injury
While it’s no doubt Pierre Garcon was a huge spark for our offense last year when he did play with his energy, physicality, big-play ability, and flashes of great speed. Am I the only one finding it a little concerning our No. 1 receiver is saying “I can’t say I’ll be 100 percent” for 2013 after this extended time of rest and rehab? – Alec Gerard It is a little concerning, but at the same time, one thing I learned last season about Garcon from talking to him and talking to teammates about him, is that he is extremely guarded and never likes to raise expectations unrealistically or make predictions. So, that’s why he wouldn’t commit to being 100 percent, although he and his camp, and his doctors believe that his toe will have healed to the point that he’ll have his speed and explosiveness by the start of the season. There was no guarantee that surgery would have fixed the torn ligament in his second toe, and so he held off on that, and this past winter, a little more than a month after the season ended, he had a follow-up checkup, and doctors said that his toe was still making progress and that he wouldn’t need surgery. That's almost priceless. A WR yet to break 1000 yards in a season with arguably the best QB in history throwing to him doesn't want to raise unrealistic expectations. On a pretty lousy week...this gave me belly laughs :silly: |
Re: Orakpo says he’s 100 percent
I was not a big fan of giving Garcon the contract that he got. But when healthy, he showed that he was a difference maker. But it seems like this thing with his foot is going to linger and he'll never get 100% healthy. I don't expect that he'll ever play 16 games the rest of his career.

nfldraftscout rated him out as the 29th best WR last year, and that was after missing 6 games. Imagine how good he can be if he plays more games...He could be 28th! |

LOL. He's a nice addition to the WR corp when healthy no doubt. The 29th rating sounds about right, but I still question whether his contract is commensurate? |
