Re: Sam Huff
I'd rework the whole thing. I don't much care for Doc. Nice guy but something about his work seems bleh to me. I'd really like to see it be someone who isn't just spewing slick niceties the whole time.

I'd like to see Tim Brant of ABC 7 News be the new commentator and replace old Sonny with someone young who recently played in the NFL/Redskins. I was thinking Randle El, but he still has some work to do. |
Re: Sam Huff
Time for Portis to take over. :D
Not serious, but it would be entertaining...when we could actually decipher his words. |
Re: Sam Huff
I know I might be the bad guy here but Larry Michael isn't at all bad. He's not worse than Herzog was. I can't say I understand anyone's dislike of his work. I see no reason to dump him.

He's still a ways to go to even pass Randle El. I was thinking Ken Harvey or...LaVar... |

I know Herzog quite well. Consider him a friend. Don't know Michael as well. When I have met him, I haven't been the biggest fan. That said, when it comes to on air work...I totally agree |
Re: Sam Huff
For one, everyone in the booth can't have the same personality. I like Michael but, with the Sonny and Sam is was kinda weak. I like Doc, bring him in the booth. Bring a female in the mix too.

As did I. Figured that one screamed sarcasm. |

I mean everyone dislikes him because he is not Herzog. That's about it. I know he sort of engineered himself into that job and got Frank canned but that isn't like common knowledge so I know it isn't that. |

He's not bad at all. Some people will just always hate the guy because he replaced Herzog. |
Re: Sam Huff
I am not a fan of Michael's work outside the booth - his cable shows are pretty painful "suck-up" shows. In the booth, on game day, I don't have any problem with his work. He will never be brutally critical, but then neither was Herzog.
Doc as a replacement would work for me b/c he really is unafraid to pull his punches while at the same time being an unabashed Skin's fan. Probably time for Sonny to go also. With his drinking buddy gone, I expect he will move on in the next year or two. |
Re: Sam Huff
Recent reitred/played player the best option by far is COOOOOLLLLEEYYYY

Hey why not? He's the biggest homer there is and that's what team radio is all about. |

I think Larry is OK during "down" points in the game. Like if he's calling an average play he does just fine. Its on the "big plays" where I've been underwhelmed by him. For the most part, he's been calling some pretty bad football; so its hard to really hold much against him... but I don't know. He's OK. |
