I think its Pierce, he thrived in a system that made him a star. The defense in New York will not be as well coached as the redskins, he will realize that the williams system helped him become who he is and he will maybe get released and come back like Trotter with the eagles. give it about 2 years

Too bad he will most likely be replaced by Marshall who is young and already knows the system.

He can still accept a back up role untill he gets his chance, and by that time Barrow would have retired
Who will miss US the most? I bet Smoot does...
I wouldn't be surprised to see Smoot back with us later in his career. I think Smoot was a much bigger leader for the team then people think and he will really be missed this year and in years to come.

i think well miss smoot the most because he was a solid nu,ber 2 Cb w/o him we wouldnt of been able to blitz as much as we did.....so i think well miss him.........I STILL DNT KNO Y EVRYONES MISSIN PIERCE HES ONLY GOOD UNDER GREG WILLIAMS D.... hes probably going to suck in NY!!!!!!!! i mean i personally dnt think theres such thing as hidden talents......nd obviously they didnt find him talented in college because he was undrafted they didnt find him talented as a starter in free agency.....HE WAS ONLY Good becauSE HE WAS IN GW'S DEFENSE!!!!!!!!!! so was a million other no name guys.....does that mean we shold be upset if we lose one of them because they asked for a big contract? ......all im saying is he wouldve been nice to stay becuase he was flourishing with our defense....but ill garentee we wnt miss him because of his great play in NY

It's one of those things where you get attached to the city too. I'd love to see him back, but not as a has-been.

Re: Who will miss the Redskins the most?

Around this time last year we were going into the season with Mike Barrow at MLB, Pierce did a great job given his opportunity last season, but I am hopeful that Barrow can make a full recovery and we can see exactly what we missed from him last year (who's to say he wouldn't have had as good a year as Pierce?).

With Coles gone, I'm pretty confident in Santana Moss as our "go to guy" next year, they guy only caught something like 45 catches last year (for a good avg), 35 of them for FD's I believe, Coles caught 90, with about 52 or so for FDs, so as you can see Santana should help us move the chains a little better as well as giving us the speed missing from Coles last year.

Of the 3 Smoot is the one player I will miss the most, as I liked the guy, but last year we wondered how we'd survive without Bailey ... along came Shawn Springs and life went on in our secondary, now Smoot is gone, who is gonna step up to the plate (possibly Wilds, Harris, a draftee or FA signee), my point is we could again have another great CB addition that makes us forget about the previous holder at that position.

Re: Who will miss the Redskins the most?

I think emotionally Smoot will miss us most and I think he while not strugling may be a little bit of a disappointment in Minn . I think the reason he was great here is because he was always a No2 CB . There really wasn't the preasure on him, not just because who was lined up the other side of the field but who was in front and this year behind him. Our D has talent everywhere the Vikes untill now have been an offence first team and Outside Winfield and Hoven who has left now i think I cannot think of a Vikes D player and who is thier D co-ordinator?

Pierce shown flashes of being good before this year, but only flashes had he been up and comming we would have given him a two/three year contract last year like McCants did. Instead we went for Barrow who I think if healthy will be a monster in the middle. Not that I wish AP any ill will he went to NY for the money and to be a starter ... i hope he does continue his break out.

Coles... pah Coles I really liked him but he was apparently poison in the locker room end of the year last year despite having a career year for receptions... if he misses us ... though.

I still miss Wilber Mashell.

i think smoot will miss the skins when brett favre is throwing tds all over the place but i think peirce will miss the skins the most when they sweep the giants next season. coles won't miss the skins very much and the skins won't miss him either.
