Anyway, I contacted the Skins. Told them a few fansites were interested in doing a flag football tourney between the morning and afternoon practices on Fan Appreciation day on one of the parking lot fields. To regulate the number of participants we would have a registration fee and proceeds would go to a charity of the Redskins choice. I'll see what they say. If it's a go, I can get us media coverage no problem..

In all the excitement of playing in this game, I forgot I was getting married July 22. Will be back on the 29th, but am having a party either July 30 or August 6. Fan Appreciation day will probably be one of those two days. So I'm gonna need to arrange my party on the day thats not fan appreciation day, I guess. :D

Also, smooty (will always call you that), why not see if we can use the astroturf field? Those parking lot fields are very rough.

Back in my heavier days I played on the line, I also have solid hands at TE.

I think I could still hack it on the line. I'm a technician, LOL.

I know I haven't...I just acted like it was a huge plan when I contacted the Skins. I made up a lot of stuff (registration fee, charity) but I think we need that if we're going to make it something legit that the Skins would be interested in. And from a media perspective, that stuff makes a good story

Cpayne-congrats on getting married! I can ask about the astroturf field though that might be harder to swing

Im 6'1" 275-280. Im not really big though, i look like i weigh about 240-250, but im really fast for my size & have glue for hands. I played te & dt through school. Hell of a combo huh lol.

You know thats a very good idea. Even if everyone just chipped in like 5-10 bucks depending on the turnout; that would really make it legit. I actually think they would be more willing to let us use the astrofeild than the grass. The grass we would proboly tear up; while the astroturf, we cant really mess up; although it will kill when we fall.

Like I said im fast for my size, so flag ball w/ a bunch of speedy 200lb ers might not be my forte'. If we can get away with a tackle game (which would be much more fun & get more attention) Ill pay any entry fee to play.

I don't have a lot of moves, but I have SOME speed and if they ball gets near me I WILL catch it.

Anybody else frequent the other fan sites and put a bug in their ears about this?

5'9 190. I'm not very fast; have decent hands and can throw the ball well. I played on the line in high school; so a tight end/fullback type postion (in flag) would be best for me. Of course I can do the option pass and bomb it down to TAFKAS
