Re: Cowboys vs Skins: Pre-Game thread
Ehhh... that defense looks okay right now, but it's because of the offense. They're just facing fewer plays this year. Remember how bad they were last year? Check out these stats:
They're allowing the same number of yards-per-play as last year: 6.1. They don't have a good pass rush, with 6 sacks on the year. Considerably worse than last year, when they finished with 34. They're on pace for 1 more turnover than last year, with a team turnover ration of -1(granted, quite a bit better than us). Their opposing team's 3rd down conversion percentage(42%)is the same as our opponent's, and only slightly lower than theirs last year(43%). Sorry, not impressed. Although I would say Marinelli is doing a solid job considering the kind of talent they have.
They are tackling better. Doesnt show up in the stat lines. They are being coached above and beyond their talent level. Haslett doesnt even know what that means, and he never has. |
For sure. The Skins can beat the JV but this week they are playing the Varsity. You wont have to stay up late Monday Night.
They can beat the freshman. Not the JV. |
Re: Cowboys vs Skins: Pre-Game thread
Zorn and Spurrier beat the Cowboys?

Re: Cowboys vs Skins: Pre-Game thread
I hope our guys have more.....chutzpah than many of our posters who have already thrown in the towel before the first snap. These guys are good but....any given day.
AND......as long as there is breath in my lungs I would never give up on the B & G against the boys. Skins get their Sierra together and deliver an upset Skins 31 Boys. 21 |

In no way giving up on them. Will certainly not be wearing Dallas colors or rooting for them on Monday but EVERYTHING about this game point to an absolute disaster. Anyway- lets go Any Given Monday. |

Re: Cowboys vs Skins: Pre-Game thread
I just hope we dont get embarrassed on national tv again. We dont have anybody that can cover Dez and we cant get any pressure on the qb.Now that Orakpo is out I dont see pass rush getting any better.I think Romo and Dez will be playing toss and catch,Dallas wins easily

Re: Cowboys vs Skins: Pre-Game thread
We are clearly overmatched and I expect us to lose.
With that said, I expect Gruden to be creative find a way to steal a win. I liked what the Rams did against the Seahawks. You have nothing to lose except a game we are expected to lose so you might as well bust out some creativity and get this done. |

We don't just lose on National TV we get hog tied, thrown in a burlap bag and beaten within an inch of our life. It's NEVER close, it's almost always a blow out. When was the last time we actually won a nationally televised game? |

Re: Cowboys vs Skins: Pre-Game thread
How about the division winning game against Dallas in '12? I believe that was a Sunday night.

Re: Cowboys vs Skins: Pre-Game thread
It was.
If I can garuntee one thing. Its primetime, the refs will be absolutely piss poor eating the cowgirls shit and screw us a few times when it really counts. We come back, get close, get screwed, lose by double digits |
