Well said, Gman. And I agree with you. Gibbs doesn't have time for a quarterback project. Or if he does, then apparently he's going to be here longer than the 3 or 4 seasons many have said. I guess I wouldn't have as much of a problem with it if we didn't have Brunell's hell-ish cap-crap to carry around. Or if they didn't just sign Hasslebeck to a new contract only days before the draft. I didn't necessarily want Mike Williams, but you're right, we could have taken our chances with him, and still been able to draft Justin Miller, Marlin Jackson, or Brodney Poole -- all of whom were available after pick #25.

Clearly, Gibbs doesn't think very highly of Patrick Ramsey or his abilities.

Either he doesn't think highly of his abilities OR he doesn't want to give Patrick chances until the end of his own contract and leave us without a QB at all.

Like what Coach Gibbs said: If a Quarterback lets something like this bother him, then he's going to be easily rattled no matter what. You need a QB with nerves of steal, good leadership qualities, and of course skills. If a QB is missing any of these, he's not going to last.

I never saw Montana get rattled because San Fran had Steve Young. Yeah, eventually the 9er's went with Young, but this was after Montana had accomplished about everything he was going to accomplish in the league.
