Re: good news for the skins regarding lavars knee!!!
that's a dream a lot of redskins fan share. i can just see it now. the headlines read
"Redskins drought in Dallas over" and underneath the sub headline says "Arrington ends Bledsoe's career on the game winning fumble return for a td" and the article will read something like this "the redskins won in dallas for the first time in years. They were down 21-18 with 1:00 to go and dallas had the ball at the skins' five yard line. When newly revived Lavar Arrington stepped in, sacked Drew Bledsoe in the same way Joe Theismann's career ended, forced and picked up a fumble and returned it 90 yards for the game winner. This will have been two all pro quarterbacks that have had their careers ended by the notorious playmaker, the first being Troy Aikman, who incidentally, played for Dallas also." you can always dream.
I like all of that except the drew goes down like theisman part,he hasnt been a cowboy long enough for me to hate him that much |
Re: good news for the skins regarding lavars knee!!!
I don't think I could wish for anyone's career to end the way Theismann's did

Re: good news for the skins regarding lavars knee!!!
Wow, Eli having his career ended THIS early?!
THAT would be crazy. I have a feeling he can be just as good as Peyton.
Haha thats the funniest thing I have ever seen. |
Re: good news for the skins regarding lavars knee!!!
Which part of it? ;)
You're either insulting me or complimenting me? Now WHICH is it?! J/K |

THAT would be crazy. I have a feeling he can be just as good as Peyton.
I have that same bad feeling.... My brother in law is a huge Giants fan and he has been talking all offseason... I hope San Diego guys crush the kid for refusing to go there when they play the G men this year... |
Re: good news for the skins regarding lavars knee!!!
Yeah, that was pretty unclassy.

Re: good news for the skins regarding lavars knee!!!
His knee is healing and he is rehabbing it and that is certainly positive.
Now, can anyone tell me what is happening - in a postive sense of course - with Lavar's arbitration hearing relative to his grievance with the Skins? I didn't think so. His knee is getting better but we have ZERO information that tells us that his attitude and his sense of belonging here is getting any better. Remember, he has a big time contract with the Skins that has huge cap/dead money implications - whether or not he wins or loses that arbitration hearing. And his long term value on the field is definitely related to his "happiness" with the organization and the way his contract "misunderstanding" is adjudicated. The latest speculation on the arbitration hearing date I read about was in August 2005 which would be right about when training camp is breaking and the team is getting ready for Game 1. Oh swell!! |
Re: good news for the skins regarding lavars knee!!!
the bad comes with the good. hopefully he isn't angry towards the skins though.

Re: good news for the skins regarding lavars knee!!!
Why does the arbitration hearing date keep getting pushed back? Is it the Redskins asking for more time or is it Arrington?
|
Re: good news for the skins regarding lavars knee!!!
The Redskins asked for the latest "delay" in the proceedings. I don't know if Arrington asked for any of the previous delays.

Yeah. I dont really understand why the Skins' keep pushing for these delays. There is no way they can lose if LaVar signed a contract. Period. I guess I see why they didnt want to deal with it in season, but I dont get why they are pushing it back more. |
