Re: NFC East Off-Season Recalibration
Well, if he was mentioned in a ESPN article then he must be a good player.
I am not saying he is good at all, I just found it interesting in a 2024 forecast one writer picked Forbes |
Re: NFC East Off-Season Recalibration
Funny he is mentioned in this recent espn article as a potential breakout candidate next year
Tannenbaum: Emmanuel Forbes, CB, Commanders. After an up-and-down rookie season, I expect this undersized (6-foot, 180 pounds) corner to thrive in coach Dan Quinn's defense. Forbes had one interception (and nine pass breakups) in 2023, but he had six picks in his final season at Mississippi State. Low bar. If he is anywhere near an opposing wide receiver for just a single play this year it will be an improvement. |
Re: NFC East Off-Season Recalibration
We better sign or draft a CB during the first three rounds because BSJ and Forbes are huuuuuge question marks.
|
Re: NFC East Off-Season Recalibration
I had high hopes for St Juste. He's just been alright, and consistently that way since he's been here. I would cut bait. Use that $1.3 mil elsewhere.
I think you do make an effort to bring back Fuller though. Fuller, Forbes, and a FA CB - then draft one in the middle rounds. |
NFC East Off-Season Recalibration
I think BSJ has regressed pretty bad. Obviously you can point to coaching, or lack there of but I agree. Cut bait and yeah bring back Fuller. Idc if they get another solid corner through FA or the early rounds but it is a definite need.

Unfortunately, if he's anywhere near a WR, he will hold, grab, tackle, and get a penalty, or the guy will just catch it anyways. |
Re: NFC East Off-Season Recalibration
I think getting a true #1 CB and letting us push the rest of the depth down 1 spot would do wonders.

He played great this season in a contract year and overall he is a solid player, but he’s gonna be looking for that final big deal. |

He just turned 29, 4.5 years younger than Stephon Gilmore. I think he has a few more years in him for sure. He just may get that pay day here... I'd sign him to a 2-3 year deal. |

I'm with you, Fuller is really the only legitimate CB they have on the roster. |
Re: NFC East Off-Season Recalibration
Fuller is definitely worth a nice, reasonable contract. If it's like 3 years and 40 million, thanks for your time here, and best of luck on your future endeavors.

Re: NFC East Off-Season Recalibration
3 years / $42 million is what Spotrac projects his market value to be.

It's going to be interesting having so much cap space. I don't necessarily want to give out tons of huge contracts (I mean bigger than this), but you're also not maximizing your roster if you don't use most of your cap space. It's an interesting (and way better than any alternative) position to see how it plays out. |

This is exactly what I’m saying to Fuller when I tell him we are moving on from him. |
