Indeed it is. Just like I was reading in the article on CNN, just because he was found innocent of THOSE charges doesn't mean he's an innocent man.

The bottom line is the prosecution had too many holes in their case. Like it or not, there just wasn't enough to have a guilty verdict.

My question is what's up with the people outside the court house who were celebrating and acting like idiots? Why do people care? Do they know him personally??

Yeah, and it's people who are hardly from his generation. They act like he was the savior to music. There weren't that many people for OJ when he got acquitted and his charges were MUCH more serious.

I guess molesting kids isn't as serious as killing someone.

What I don't understand is why the media is covering the Jackson trial when we've got troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, threats from terrorism, the Bolton hearings, etc.

While I totally agree with you in spirit, you can't be at all surprised at the media frenzy. C'mon! Warped child-hood star turned superstar with the biggest selling album EVER (53 mil and counting?) creates bizarre Peter Pan world with young boys, "jesus juice", a chimp named Bubbles, a hyperbaric chamber, the elephant man's bones, Latoya, etc.,etc., is charged by the same prosecutor who failed to get him in 1993, with a money gubbing lunatic Mother, a suspicious but clearly exploited boy, Super laywers, legions of lunatic fans outside--and you want them NOT to cover this??? Media is a business, and this sort of crazyness sells soap!

The war is reality, this is pure fantasy. And it's not like the Bush team really wants us to be focusing on Iraq... (This last bit was political--take it or leave it. BUt the rest is just sociology and economics.)

But I will stand by this claim: put on Thriller at a party, and the people will dance. THey may be a bit embarrased at first, but they will dance.
