Re: Trump 2.0 Administration Golden Years
I was teasing Chico earlier, but I do want to ask him a serious question though about deportations.
Chico, what is the total number of deportations you think is done by the end of his term? My personal view is, if you here illegally, then your ass needs to be sent to the crib. So deport all the illegals you want, it's really no issue with me. That said, I also know what happens (economically) when you do such a thing too. My biggest issue is the system itself is the process for documentation and citizenship is a clusterfuck. |
Re: Trump 2.0 Administration Golden Years
You all do know that firing the IGs is a very big deal right? The IG is what keeps corruption and corrupt practices in check. An analogy would be if Al Capone had become Chicago's Mayor and fired all the cops as his first move.

But ice is now back on the job, the southern border is back up and running with policies back which Trump previously saw the lowest numbers in 35 years his first term. Things will improve as they did previously on illegal immigration under Trump. Look, you can already see city/state budgets such as all of California, Denver, Chicago, New York City and Fairfax County Va suffering from the millions they spent previous years on housing, education, medical, etc. from taking care of illegals. Don’t expect the federal government to bail them out. Those citizens will suffer, many in minority communities from services cut and higher taxes….like always. So they can enjoy what they voted for. |

Why shouldn’t tax payers expect more? The plan on jobs freezes and return to office will cause attrition, but that’s not really strategy I believe. It’s going to be AI focused, federal contractors focused, audit/lean and money spent on NGO which have become extensions of federal employees working for liberal causes without oversight. Hopefully Trump focuses there. |

If you read between the lines, my point was very few employees will lose their jobs when it comes to percentages of the federal workforce. The focus I will believe will be the things the administration can control, contracts, ngo spending, AI implementation, etc. We fire folks who don’t return to office, that’s a business decision the employee makes. No packages needed. |

[B]We fire folks who don’t return to office, that’s a business decision the employee makes. Many of them don't even live near an office to go to. There's plenty of nuance to remote work and telework that the new admin either doesn't understand or doesn't care about. |
