Yeah, it is kind of funny that he "scooped" the media in a way.
The Skins' media machine is probably irked about this. McCants unfiltered, LOL |
Re: Darnerien Done
Really liked him, not suprised by the move, though. I remember him catching that TD pass vs Philly in 2003; and was the only guy that would autograph anything for me at TC 2002. I wish him the best (except when he plays us).

Re: Darnerien Done
Never got on-board the GIbbs program. If you don't work in practice, you will not make it on a Gibbs team.
Wonder if Dyson will make it? Gibbs likes him, no doubt, but do we have the room? |
Re: Darnerien Done
As weird as it sounds, don't be surprised to see the Eagles give this guy a shot too.
That's a possible destination considering how thin they are at WR. |
Re: Darnerien Done
His name has popped up on message boards for the Eagles for a few weeks. It wouldn't surprise me.

Re: Darnerien Done
Dmac was an untapped resource. we got a glimpse of what he could do with spurrier.
i wish him the best. but the thing that bothers me is there is no loyalty within the organization. we keep getting rid of the true redskins and bringing losers looking to pick up a paycheck. patten, thrash and moss are a given. jacobs, i've lost all hope. dyson??? jesus... darnarien isnt the greatest guy in the world, but he is better than dyson. |
Re: Darnerien Done
its best for him that he got cut, he'll get a chance somewhere else. Gibbs wasnt going to play him, for some reason he just doesnt like playing him

It would not surprise me either if the Eagles signed McCants. |

I think the reasons have been pretty well documented. He's not a contributor on special teams even though he gave it a shot this offseason, and he's just not a great practice player. I think Gibbs liked what he saw on film of McCants and that's why he re-signed him... but he obviously wasn't as impressed once he got a look at him up close. |

Re: Darnerien Done
I'm kind of surprised this news isn't on any "mainstream" media sites. Maybe Kevin Dyson hacked www.darnerien.com and posted the story so that DMac wouldn't show up for practice and Dyson would clinch the spot. That Dyson, he's a shifty one

frankly that would really suck, just philosophically. i always hate that. plus who knows what language/schemes/tricks he could possibly give em. |
Re: Darnerien Done
darnarien was a guy we drafted, a guy who loved to be a redskin and a guy who played well when he has his opportunities. being a true redskin doesnt mean you ahve to be a superstar.
i think dyson is looking for a paycheck. he was never that good, he is only known for the "music city miracle". hey we all are looking for a decent paycheck but i doubt he is looking to help the team. i honestly wish the best for them both(except if darnarien go to an nfc east team). |
Re: Darnerien Done
I can't believe he actually gave himself all of those retarded a$$ names and that pose on his website.... :laughing2 I liked him a couple years ago but then the stuff started leaking out about his practice efforts, or lack there of, and his inability to play special teams, and his case of the dropsies from time to time just made it come to the point where I just didn't really care what happened to him. We'll be fine without him.
|
Re: Darnerien Done
We will be fine without him. Perhaps better without him if he didn't practice well. Cut out the cancers. I did enjoy him about 3 years ago when he nabbed 5-6 tds in a season, but realistcally he doesn't show the effort that Patten or Moss do. Even a disgruntled Coles played exremely hard with a f'd up toe. This is a business and I'm glad Gibbs takes his business very serious. He'll be with another team within 2 days. Goodluck to him and maybe this will be a lesson to him, although he still thinks he's a singer; bahahahahahahahahhahahaha. Try being good at something you do, practice is a good way to do that!
