i know this is a loss but our TEAM played AMAZING! Our defense did very well and the broncos threw for less than 100 yards!! less than 100!! wait we threw for over 300 yards and picked up nearly 450 total yards on the NUMBER SIX defense in the league. i don't understand why there isn't any positive threads. If you told me during the offseason that we would have this type of offensive production against a top 10 D that was ranked right behind ours i would be thrilled. Also if i was told that we were gonna go 3-1 and lead our division at this time i would also be thrilled.

NO doubt no f'n doubt in my mind that we can take KC. This game was huge for us, we can play offense. That is right bitches we can play offense. The REDSKINS can play offense with the best of them and still AND STILL have a top ten defense that can hold teams under 300 yards. We go to KC and kick ass, we come home and kick ass and then we face a big game against the gints and we beat them there too. I see us winning atleast two of the next four and moving to a respectable 5-3 and if we win 3 we are 6-2 and tops in our division STILL as long as one of those games is the GINTS.

WE are reborn, we aren't your joe gibbs first year redskins, we are the new redskins, the 2005 playoff redskins
that's nice and all about the stats that we put up, but the only one i'm interested in is the win-loss stat. i'd much rather take an ugly win over a pretty loss any day.

This loss was very disappointing. The Skins totalling outplayed the Broncos in every way except for on the scoreboard (time of possesion, total yards, third down conversions). The Broncos had two big plays and those were a result of piss-poor tackling and LINEBACKERS being out of position. Something PERSONAL is going on here. There is no rational explanation for Levar Arrington being on the bench. I've yet to see Holdman make an impact play. I've been watching very closely. He sometimes make routine plays, sometimes miss tackles and sometimes runs himself out of the play. I would rather see Arrington making the occational BIG HIT then seeing some guy that MIGHT make a routine play. When Arrington is in on the play, someone is going down HARD and sometimes the ball gets jarred loose. Holdman doesn't have that ability. At best he can bring the man down. The Skins are not creating enough turnovers. On a lousy field with lousy playing conditions, I expect a few balls to be jarred loose. Right now, Sean Taylor is the only big hitter out there. The other guy is on the BENCH! What Hell is going on?

Wow. We go into mile-high, where no road teams win, and almost pull it out. Our D missed two big plays. That sucks. It's disappointing. But we had a shot, and if we don't get robbed on the safety, we're kicking a PAT for the win. So, yeah, those long runs were disturbing, but overall, the D played well, without either starting corner.

If this is how WIlliams wants the D, then I am ok with it. Lavar is not a magic bullet. What's more important is the TEAM--you do it in practice, and you get to play on Sunday. DOesn't matter what number is on the back of your uniform. I love Lavar. But I respect our coaching staff--if this is their decision, I'm behind it.

But come on, this was a tough road game. We almost pulled it out. Why not just stick with what we've got, and keep working hard? This "let's change this, let's change that" tactic isn't always the solution. SOmetimes you take a loss, you pick your head up, and play harder next week.

We continue to have problems with our D-line...the DT and DE positions need serious upgrading but we did not want to do that this year....Oh well, Let us pray Harris and Springs are back soon. We need Harris as a back up to Rogers and Springs. Jimoh can not figure what to do from one play to the next. He either gets burned for a TD or stops one.

We need an upgrade at LB but I know who could upgrade that position quickly but GW and JG are still mad at him for comments he made in negotiations and in the offseason I think.

two injured corners cost us the game i think, but we kept it close and almost pulled it out. I think healthy harris + springs at least saves ONE of the TD runs or prevents the TD pass that jimoh got burnt on.

Either way, there's no reason to turn into "the sky is falling" iggle fan mode, we're not going to go 16-0 and we barely lost to a very good team. We were in it right up to the last minute too.

A great DE could definately help our defense, but i think another good corner would be more useful (some of us have been ragging on the lack of depth there since smoot left). I would have rather seen wilds out there than jimoh for sure.

I'm not downing the Skins I am very proud they played great.... the defense played well ... i saw some weakness in the LB and i'm an Lavar fan....thats all...but i am not saying the skins suck or anything like that they played very well.....
the LB's lost this game today... they played horrible.... mean while LaVar sat there. And We had so much pressure on Jake...what a genius Mr Williams is.....
Sorry, I disagree with this entire assessment.

IF, however, you are simply saying the LB's could have played better - well, yes, yes they could, but so could the entire team. I just don't think you can pin this one on the LB's. How about CP's fumble? The "take back" on the safety? Or the offsides on the kick at half time (didja notice it would have been good?).

Would they have played better with LaVar? dunno, never gonna know. Maybe LaVar is out of position on those same two game breaking runs. Lavar? Out of position? Why - that could NEVER happen!

Also, we clearly had enough pressure on Plummer to keep him under 100 yards. Not a bad day's defense of the pass.

As for the sarcastic remark towards GW - well, that's just plain dumb. The man creates killer defenses from back-ups. !!!HE HELD DENVER TO <100 yards PASSING WITH ADE JIMOH AS HIS STARTING CORNER!!!! That alone makes him not just a "genius" but a "fucking Genius"

Sorry - have we learned nothing? This is a TEAM game. Haven't we seen how this defense relies on playing the assignment? I would rather have the guy make the routine play - ROUTINELY! Then a guy who makes a spectacular hit one play but blows routine coverages or assignments and allows the other side to make multiple big plays.

Sure LaVar is an incredible talent - but, if he is not playing his assignments, in this defense, he will cost us more big plays than he makes.

How do we know if Levar is playing his assignments. He doesn't even get a chance. I'm not that overly impressed with Holdman that Arrington doesn't even get a shot, at lease on third downs. This is CRAZY!
