You can only take so much abuse... people need to have respect for other people, because you have no Idea what that person is going through. There could be some guy with a gun watching the game next to you, who is so emotionally twisted that he's planning on offing himself if the skins lose, and then he gets a beer poured all over him... what do you think happens next?? If more people would just react and beat the living shit out of punks who think they can bully people, most of those punks would stop messing with people, because its not fun to instigate a confrontation and then get hurt and embarrased. Athorities just give a bully justification... all they want is to instill fear and humiliate you, and when you go crying to an usher/cop, they get what they wanted from their action, and therefore that is a positive reinforcement....
and athoritive figures cannot do anything to break that mentality. An innocent victim of defilement can, however, by turning the tables and turning an easily avoidable situation into a humiliating experience... thus a negative reinforcement, and conditioning works with people of that mentality.

Philly fans are just so amazing....I was at the skins eagle game at fedex, in 04. One of the philly fans soooooooooooo drunk thought it would be ok to hit a 20 year old irl in the face which started to Fire me and my 3 friends up......There were 8 of them and 4 of us and they left with some red stuff on there Worn out TO rags..........They came up to us....They were spitting at us....they hit the girl....and not once did they care....I dont blame Mrs Portis at all they are rude and Just nasty people...Have no respect for anyone....Not elders, woman or themselfs.

There are reasons that place is known as classless, and it has a lot to do with the total disregard by Eagles management to make a real effort to ensure saftey at the games, every place has it's nonesense, but if you think someone is coming to throw out an Eagle fan, because a redskin fan said they threw a beer on them, your sadley mistaken, I say swing away! :boxing:

I understand taking the "high road" but it's quite easy to make a judgement about the situation when you weren't there. Apparently she did find a security guard or usher since she was ushered down to the sidelines. Myself, I'm not a violent person and I have only gotten into maybe two fights in my life (of course I won both) but I would stand up for my mother she had beer thrown on her.

Nothing wrong with defending yourself and for the most part the Eagles fans are classless, rude and confrontational and deserve to be put in their place. I read about the '04 incident in the paper where an Eagles fan punched a girl. It is unbelievable to me. I was raised never to hit a woman. The Philly women have mouths worse then the men and some of them I believe deserve a punch but I wouldn't do it.

Just one comment though. Do you think being Portis' mom that she knew she could get away with it because she would recieve special treatment? I mean it's standard practice at any facility that if there's a confrontation between an opposing fan and a hometeam fan that the opposing fan gets thrown out whether they started it or are simply defending themselves.
