Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

jets like cutler more than leinhart... they might take dbrick and trade up to get cutler later in the 1st still.

Re: What to do with #53 overall
I doubt very seriously that any of those LB's will be available during that part of the draft. Particularly D'Quell. Those guys are going to go in the late first early second. We pick late second.
I know its a longshot, but if we get D'Qwell I will do the Dance of Joy (a la Balki from Perfect Strangers). I think he would be amazing for us...

That Guy 04-29-2006 01:02 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

5/5...

next five (gets tricky here)
6. davis
7. huff? or leinhart (long shot)
8. bunkley
9. ??? (justice? hopefully not leinhart but matt millen is stupid)
10. leinhart? (or cutler or ngata)

vernon davis to niners. good pick

EXoffender 04-29-2006 01:09 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

Davis is a monster.

Big C 04-29-2006 01:12 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

is there a matt leinhart highlight where he is under pressure? or is he always never under pressure in his good plays

That Guy 04-29-2006 01:13 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

oh yeah:

freakish athletes of the 2006 draft:
1. mario williams (top 5 6'7" 4.7 300lbs)
2. vernon davis (top 15 6'3" 250+lbs 4.3x TE, 33 reps)
3. Winston Justice (top 15 6'6" 5.16 320lbs 38 reps 39" vert)
4. manny lawson (1st 6'6" 4.4 240lbs OLB)
5. antonio cromartie (1st 6'2" 4.3x CB)
6. pat watkins (3rd round, 6'5" 4.4 FS)

reggie bush is great too, but rbs with his measureables aren't that rare, his production and awareness (vision) are what set him apart instead.

Big C 04-29-2006 01:16 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

lol. oakland takes huff. leinhart is dropping its awesome

That Guy 04-29-2006 01:17 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

so far so good... still struggling with pick #9, cause matt millen's an idiot.

I think they'll take justice, but they might take leinhart and repeat the mistake they've made 5 years in a row now. if leinhart clears, he's gone at #10.

Skins_4_Lyfe 04-29-2006 01:18 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

He'll (Leinhart) go to Buffalo.

Big C 04-29-2006 01:21 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

i dont think hollywood will go to buffalo. he would hate it there (smaller market), its cold, and i dont think he has ever played in incliment weather (snow, windy snow)

That Guy 04-29-2006 01:21 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

they need OT and DT more... they could definately use him, but if they don't trade i'm not sure they'd take him.

That Guy 04-29-2006 01:21 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

broncos may be the team to trade up...

Skins_4_Lyfe 04-29-2006 01:25 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

My fault...I almost forgot about Losman.
Hollywood may slip to # 10 in Arizona, but I am strongly sensing a trade with the Bills.

Big C 04-29-2006 01:25 PM

id love broncos to waste picks and time on hollywood. fck the broncos

woah, that's a bad pick.

Big C 04-29-2006 01:27 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

wow...donte whitner...maybe a stretch for the bills?

That Guy 04-29-2006 01:27 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

he's fast, but donte whitner is a top 16 pick.. surprised they didn't trade down. pick up a 2nd and get whitner anyways.

Big C 04-29-2006 01:27 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

hope hollywood is a 2nd round pick...would be fvcking hilarious. will never happen, but would make my day

Skins_4_Lyfe 04-29-2006 01:28 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

WOW...he (Whitner) wasn't suppose to go until later in the first...
damn Texans messed up the whole draft by taking Mario Williams

this reminds me of when the bungles selected levi jones a few years back. the broadcast crew were just like...uhh...

even tho levi jones is solid these days

That Guy 04-29-2006 01:30 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

outside chance ngata goes to the lions, but winston justice is a much better pick. the last thing they need is another QB, even though he'd be the best one on the roster.

lions last 1st rounders:
QB, RB, WR, WR, WR

only 1 hasn't been a bust (roy williams).

That Guy 04-29-2006 01:31 PM

yeah, and whitner will be solid, but bunkley will be too and he's a better player and fills a bigger need... i gues only time will tell.

That Guy 04-29-2006 01:32 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

9. justice/williams (outside at leinhart)
10. leinhart
11. williams/cutler?

That Guy 04-29-2006 01:34 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

damn, 8/10

sims is good, he fills a need...

11. jimmy williams/cutler?
12. ngata

good 40 times, apparently.

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

Another LB, lets hope Thomas Howard is still there at number 53. If Bobby Carpenter goes in the first I doubt if he'll be there b/c after that you have to take Howard at the OLB position.

81forHOF 04-29-2006 01:36 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

espn has whitner ranked at #54, and the sporting news @49. a little bit of a reach, huh?

Big C 04-29-2006 01:36 PM

Re: Official 2006 NFL Draft Thread

man...hollywood going to arizona. staying out west. was hoping he would go to a worse offense so he would suck...
