Re: Looks like we traded up!
the reason people say it every year is because it true damn look at the redskin since 2000, i dont want to go back to much in ancient history what has this team done to say he were a super bowl contender?? we always win free agency. i would like to win championships instead what about you.

Re: Looks like we traded up!
you ready think our chances are as good as the steelers or pats, come on lets get real. i hope your right i really do, since maybe i'm older than you and winning one playoff game is good for you, i dont get exicted anymore about signing everyones players, i'll wait until the season pans out, then usually were disappointed, and here comes fa again will spend and spend and spend maybe get to 8-8. and have not draft picks whick are get this cheaper usually than high price fa. who usally just want to get paid just like portis said when he came here.everyone want to come here and get paid didnt say anything about winning

Re: Looks like we traded up!
listen i think we both want the same thing and that a championship but it not working their way no matter what gibbs does. you have to respect the draft and we dont that my problem
|
Re: Looks like we traded up!
please stop the ranting. its annoying :P
you like draft picks, the skins don't. we understand your position, thank you. |
Re: Looks like we traded up!
...instead of fa who mostly want to get paid and get fat on our bonus money...
Don't be shy. Go ahead and name names. Please elucidate as to exactly which free agents aquired over the last three years under Gibbs "mostly just want to get paid and get fat on our bonus money." Who are you talking about? Cornelius Griffin? Marcus Washington? Philip Daniels? Joe Salave'a? Demetrich Evans? Casey Rabach? Mike Sellers? Shawn Springs? Again, I get the feeling we are not talking about the same team here. --Phin |
Re: Looks like we traded up!
DEION SANDERS, JEFF GEORGE, BRUCE SMITH, MARC CARRIER oh you were talking about recently. Ummmmmmmmmmmmm.................NO ONE.

huh? at least i'm not the one still living in the 2000 offseason. |
Re: Looks like we traded up!
daniels i would say, great game against dallas 4 sack against their back up tackle. 4 sacks in 15 other games impressive and missing most of the year before. springs good player we could have kept champ for for about 3 million or 4 million more in signing bonus for a player you actually drafted in side of a guy is over 30 now. seller was cheap and advailable, rabach no problem with, evans ok nothing to get to exited about, love salavea, washington fantastic, but let honest just like i was, brunell 8 million signing bonus and a 3 and 5 round pick for a aging qb who was going to be released? seems you forgot about borrow horrible signing, still dead cap against us. cory raymer was not that great of a signing either, listen we can tit for tat all night, see im willing to say what good or bad. you just want to drink the cool aid and what ever gibbs say he never wrong, gibbs and synder also another screw up when they let coles keep his bonus money kill the cap last. we never play hard ball, synder let dion keep his signing bonus too great move. i'm trying to look big picture not just across the street

uh, brunell didn't cost us a 5th, champ was WAY more expensive than springs, i have no idea what you read. (springs - 30mill, champ - 62mill... 62 - 30 is NOT 3 or 4). raymer wasn't a signing, he was drafted by the skins over 9 years ago. coles cap hit got us the besst receiving year a skin WR has ever had, who at this point, is CHEAPER and BETTER than coles. barrow was CHEAP and was not a huge cap hit. seriously. |
Re: Looks like we traded up!
when the super bowl come next year and were watching and not playing again lets see who right. because you all know deep down inside i am
|
Re: Looks like we traded up!
champ wanted 14 from us not what he got in denver signing bonus not base salary
|
Re: Looks like we traded up!
raymer went too sd and we signed him when he was a fa
|
Re: Looks like we traded up!
moss is better yes duh but still we took a hugh hit on the cap do understand that hurts your flexabilty to make other moves
|
Re: Looks like we traded up!
the real money is the siging bonus that guy
|
Re: Looks like we traded up!
sorry i would take champ over springs
|
Re: Looks like we traded up!
did you forget raymer was a fa that guy???
|
Re: Looks like we traded up!
champ got 18mill in SB, springs got ten (8 > 4), not to mention the VAST difference in yearly salary. please stop spamming the board. three word posts can be condensed instead of spreading sentences across multiple pages.
http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/4136 he was a FA, but he was a REDSKIN for years and years before going to SD. maybe you missed that. 2nd round #37 overall in 1995, he was drafted by us, just like i said. |
Re: Looks like we traded up!
Coach and Vinny said that Rocky is gonna be a much better LB than Lavar < Lavar sucked > . Im sure that Rocky is going to be a heck of a player , but giving up 07's 2nd rd pick is way to steep ! We better find an OLman and A DLman ,,, looks like Philly , dallas and the G-men are going to have very fast front 7's on D .

Re: Looks like we traded up!
ccms you have alot of frustration over the skins losing.we all do.this front office chooses free agency rather than the draft.its a philosphy.no ranting and raving will change it.but i have been a skins fan since 1970 and really believe in coach gibbs, especially after the mess of our recent coaches.he is a proven winner and if anyone can change our team around, and get back to the regular winning ways, its our coach.believe,my brother, believe:)

Re: Looks like we traded up!
thanks dmek i been with the skins since the 70's too,and that guy yes he got 18 from denver but he only wanted about 14 from us we would'nt give it to him. that my point. i know raymer was second round pick from us but maybe you forgot we signed him as a fa that was what i was talking about. my point is we never ever take a chance on a dline in the draft early we just sign them as fa,and also what frustrates me is that as gibbs would like to keep our core redskins let pierce go and smoot go away. if we would have keep smoot wouldnt had to draft rogers and may gotten shawn merriman that would help the pass rush and our corners. keep pierce let levar go and wouldnt had to trade up for our lb this maybe got another olineman this year or a young de or dt. or db. i hope it all works out but i just keep watching the draft and seeing the teams in our division and conference filling in hole and getting better with young inexpensive talent with cap flexablity. hail to the redskins

Re: Looks like we traded up!
The team is in good hands, aren't we coming off a playoff appearance?? Just checking. Sit back and relax. I know the time between Gibbs leaving and coming back was rough, but it's time to stop the hand wringing and trust that Gibbs and company have the team back on course.
