does anyone think my last post would be a good idea?? even if he sucks at qb but a great teacher of the system keep him for that role even if its not a member of the team but as a member of the coaching staff. why not cut him make hiim sign a contract as such and stating that he can not go to another team for a few yrs... just a thought

i mean if saunders can get out there on the field and do his thing why cant collins do it that way if thats what he was brought in for... why use a roster spot give him the same amount to be a teacher... maybe make it longer in length but same total..

So far Collins hasn't proven anything to the Washington Redskins, but Redskins have not proven much to me this preseason either. Statistically speaking I don't believe he is QB suicide, He could potentially be a Trent Dilfer which is nice to have as a last resort.

His performance was worse than bad, but not much good has come from anyone this preseason so don't rush to judge. To answer the thread, no I don't want to see anymore Todd Collins, but I would also not like to see Campbell yet, I'd prefer a healthy Brunell to lead us to the SB.

The sad part about this guy is he has our only touchdown pass of this pre-season on his resume. Maybe that's why JG like's him, but there aren't many here who do.

Matty, is it just me or do a lot of these comments sound eerily like comments about Brunell after the 2004 season? Not that I'm comparing the two QBs. Brunell has proven much more than Collins. It's just kind of funny

I tell you what i am not knocking he could possibly be a coach in some capacity but hang up the cleats and coach. We could have used that roster spot for a backup quarterback that can actually play in the NFL. Lets face it how old is Mark Brunell? Correct me if I am wrong isnt he going to be 36. I prefer a better insurance policy than Todd Collins. Yes I do realize we have Jason Campbell, who by most accounts has played well in the preseason, but are you ready to put our season in Campbell's hands? I am not sure I am ready to do that yet. As I wrote in another post and honestly i wish someone could set up a poll and poll this question...who would you rather be the number 2 to Brunnell......Patrick Ramsey or Todd Collins? I would be willing to bet Ramsey wins that poll hands down everytime.

I agree...how many times has collins touched the field in the playoffs...Don't knock Brunell his resume speaks for itself and Mark is long overdo for a superbowl ring he's come so close and Never got one...I'll bet if he gets one he would retire!
