The Giants first 3 games are extremely tough for them. Indy comes to town week 1. L. Then they travel to Philly, which is prob a toss up, so for the sake of argument we'll say W. Then they travel to Seattle before their bye week, L. Going into week 5 against the Skins the Giants will be 1-2.
The Skins open at home vs Vikings, I think W. Then travel to a tough road game sunday night in Dallas which I think will probably be a tough loss. Bledsoe gets hurt and Romo comes in to save the game, regardless how it happens I say L. Then the Skins go to Houston and then home against Jacksonville, W, W. Skins are 3-1 going into the week 5 game at New York.
I predict the Skins to win a tough one in New York to increase their record to 4-1. The Skins will also at this point of the season be in the NFC east lead by 1 game over Dallas.

I think they win them all. The toughest game of the bunch is Phili, simply because its a divisonal game.

No way Eli beats Peyton. I also don't think they hang with Seattle in Seattle. Seattle went to the superbowl and didn't really lose any meaningful players. You think Seattle and Indy are both overrated? Indy won what like their first 13? Hmmm. But I guess thats why they play.

The Giants have a real chance to be 2-8 or 3-7 in their first 10 games. Have you looked at their schedule?

I am fairly confident that Eli will win the Manning duel. I don't hate the Colts or anything (I thought they'd take the Lombardi last year for sure), but my worries about the pass protection post Edge have been expressed in this space many a time. The last time the Colts played, the Steelers manhandled their offensive line, and the Steelers dont have the advantage of a pair of bookends like Osi and Strahan. I just see Eli at a huge advantage, when you factor in expectations and everything, regardless of who the better QB is (it's Peyton, duh). They will both be ready, but Peyton will be on his back more. Advantage Giants.

The Eagles game could go either way, but I think a big factor is how hungry Phili will be coming off the Texans. Yes, its a divisional game, and yes they will be ready. But if Phili beats the Texans in Week 1, they wont be nearly as hungry to prove something than they would if they get upset (a very real possibility), and were facing a 2-0 hole at home.

So I'm loosely projecting the Giants at at least 2-1, possibly 3-0 heading into their bye week, and a game vs. the Redskins in Week 5.

Remember, the key to the whole season projection thing is that teams will improve/regress as the season goes on. The Giants are historically FAR more likely to beat a good team in September than in November. Likewise, a team like the Panthers or Steelers (or Seattle to a lesser extent) are more likely to get beat in September, and win later on. History shows that. It's not the be all end all, but I usually bet with the trend, it rarely does me wrong.

Give them credit for what they are, a very strong early season team. They are likely to beat those good teams early. This is not only a staple of recent Giant teams, but all Tom Coughlin teams dating back to his later Jacksonville years. Eli's cold weather struggles won't help things.

Fear not Giant haters, it will balance out over the course of the season. 9-7 (my G-Men projection) won't even make the playoffs.

I have them at 6-4 over those ten games. The losses? Washington, Dallas, Houston in the November upset, and Jacksonville.

as for lavar - he got hurt, and he got slow. still decent LB speed, but I don't think he'll ever fully recover. he's also VERY VERY whiny. which is annoying, cause if you're team is doing well, and no ones talking about him (cause he's not playing), he may decide to start complaining about the coaches or some such.
