stuff like this just reinforced to me how screwed up the NCAA is. i just read an article that the NCAA isn't going to bother some of the southern schools that still display the confederate flag. they are more worried about Reggie bush getting some money, last year? these athletes bring in sooo much money to their schools, there ought to be some type of athletic allowance. because of what was previously stated, big time athletics is a full time job

In the case of an athlete that goes to a private school like USC, they are getting a $200,000 education for free. Is that not enough?

whats $200.000 compared to the amount of money that U.S.C's football program brings to that school? peanuts. they probably fund their entire athletic budget from the football teams' revenue

The NCAA may need to change the rules for some scratch to the players. At this time, it does not allow for such things (that I am aware). At some time, RB signed (and agreed) to a contract to abide by the rules set down by the NCAA. If the allegations are true, he violated them. The rule are the rules. Can't abide by them, don't sign the deal. They may change, but until they do, the rules............

They more than cover their budget. You think they will be better off paying the players? How do you allocate the money? You would have to pay every player the exact same or Michigan USC OSU etc... would be in the Championship game every year.

Then you have to pay the basketball players, baseball players, etc. Where does it stop?

I think each player should get a small amount of spending money, and that if the opportunity presents itself, college players can take endorsement deals.

I think they are. Most of them don't get $750,000 dollar homes and get caught.
