Re: Indy Is Going Down
Its just time that things and luck turn our way. We have a team that is ticked and wants to turn this ship around and Indy is going to be that team to feel the raft. Clinton is going to be the key and will real off 175 yrds as he and the line takes their fustration out on them. All these dropped interceptions and the fumbles that the other teams have been falling on are going to go our way. We keep Peyton in check by keeping him off balance and off the field. Indy is going to take this game just a litttle lite because of the 2 weeks off and its a home game. We know that with their buy last week they watched the skins and just don't think we can beat them. So lets keep this thread positive and I will be the first come Monday to say I Told You So. Oh, Brunell will be some where aroun 17/24 with about 185 yards with a TD to Sellers and one long play to Moss.
All we need to do is watch the film of their playoff game with New England and duplicate what they did, and it's a done deal. |
Re: Indy Is Going Down
Don't forget, we are just 2 games out of 1st place in our division and we play them twice still. If Eagles were 5-1 and we were 3-3, would we all be freaking out still?........Oh how young the season is. We still have the Giants and Cowboys to PAYBACK at home too.:spank:
No doubt, 2 games out is not that bad w/10 left. I love this thread cause this is a game i feel good about, we seem to play best w/our backs to the wall. Plus the fumbles have to bounce our way & maybe rogers' broken thumb will actually help him catch an int! |
Re: Indy Is Going Down
I didn't mean their game with NE, I was really thinking of their last playoff game with Pittsburgh.
|
Re: Indy Is Going Down
We won more when you guys hated the Skins. Talk negative.... and we will be sure to win!! :)
|
Re: Indy Is Going Down
no point talkin neg.
go 'skins! upset! |
Re: Indy Is Going Down
You guys could beat them, the Colts are lucky to be undefeated. They aren't dominating like last season, it could go either way. I'm still taking the colts though.
|
Re: Indy Is Going Down
The only way to win is to go Old School.
Establish the line of scrimmage and run down hill. |
Re: Indy Is Going Down
i like it. old school running downhill. is that in the 700 page playbook? i certainly havent seen it yet. sometimes it looks like the skins are trying to be too cute. lets go out and hitem in the mouth. just like we did in the jville game
|
Re: Indy Is Going Down
My problem is that Brunell is going to play well enough to keep his starting job.
Bad Malcolm.. spank, spank...... Gibbs loves Brunell... HAVE FAITH! |
Re: Indy Is Going Down
Gibbs loves Brunell sure. And I was probably one of the last few to fall off his bandwagon. I thought it was Patten's fault that he wasn't getting open last year. Now we find out that he's just not hitting open receivers.
|
Re: Indy Is Going Down
I too have surprising optimism that we can beat the colts, but i am nervous that they are coming off a bye...
|
Re: Indy Is Going Down
Gotta remain positive...
We beat Indy and Eagles, Dallas or NYG lose we're right back in the hunt. Let's not give up hope til hope is gone. Then we all pray Gibbs will come back next year. GO REDSKINS!!! Keep the faith! |

I would say we saw it in the Jag's game but got away from it in our last game. Portis and the O line just needs to go to Gibbs and tell him to put the game on us. |
Re: Indy Is Going Down
If the Titans can play Indy close, the Skins sure can. You look up and down the rosters on paper and we definitely match up with those guys. Their run defense is a weak spot, so our O-line has to play with a chip.
The difference is Peyton, the smartest QB in the history of the NFL. He's pretty much an offensive coordinator in the prime of his playing career. The Colts haven't been blowing anyone out this season and their offense has yet to find its groove. Hopefully their bye week didn't iron out any kinks.
In their last 3 games: Brunell: 618 yards, 4 TDs, 2 INTs, 56% compl., 3 sacks Manning: 602 yards, 5 TDs, 1 INT, 60% compl., 4 sacks Brunell has been playing slightly BETTER than Manning. :) So if we had Peyton Manning with slimilar numbers to Brunell (and no all-time passing records this year), would you be whining to bench him for Campbell too, you hypocrites. :D Brunell has more than twice as many rushing yards as Manning too, the rickety old man. |

Why does Terrell Owens have to find his way into every thread? |

Carlos Rogers is OUT:
Redskins' CB Rogers out vs. Colts on Sunday / Associated Press Posted: 28 minutes ago ASHBURN, Va. (AP) - Washington Redskins cornerback Carlos Rogers' broken thumb will keep him out of Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts, further depleting a struggling secondary as it prepares to face one of the top passing offenses in the league. The Redskins apparently will open without their top two cornerbacks against Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison and the rest of the Colts attack. Shawn Springs said Wednesday he was "about the same as last week," meaning that he's not yet ready for starting duty after missing five games with abdomen and groin injuries. Even with Rogers healthy, the secondary has repeatedly allowed big plays and has only one interception. The defense is ranked 24th against the pass and has allowed 25 pass plays of 20-plus yards, second most in the league. The top candidates to start Sunday are Kenny Wright and Mike Rumph. Neither has distinguished himself this season, and Rumph was put on the inactive list for the Titans game. The Redskins signed five-time Pro Bowl defensive back Troy Vincent on Monday, but he needs time to learn the defense. Rogers, a first-round draft pick last year, was hurt trying to tackle Titans running back Travis Henry and needed three screws inserted into the thumb when he had surgery Monday. He broke the same thumb while playing for Auburn and missed one game. |
Re: Indy Is Going Down
I never liked Rogers. Springs will pick up more slack, I'm sure of it.... other than that... ... :(
|
Re: Indy Is Going Down
:vomit: rumph AND wright.
im sorry guys, my optimism just got shot to hell. |
Re: Indy Is Going Down

Re: Indy Is Going Down
if thats the case, ill feel a little better.

Re: Indy Is Going Down
I made my own thread about optimism, but didn't see this one, so here is my post:
OK guys, I have been fairly negative about the SKins chances, and frankly 99% of everyone here has been negative. (justfully so) But I am here to say, I think we can take the Colts. Call it dilusional, call it too many drugs, call it too many blows to the head, but the Colts rush D sucks, and we have a strong running game. We will have some guys in the secondary needing to prove a point. I sense at least 1 int. I think our offense might actually show up this week, and the D will play better than normal. Afterall, no one in the world is expecting us to win, so what do we have to lose? |

I think alot of fans don't care about what's happened, just about what can happen. At the Titans' game... as bad as it looked... everyone got up on there feet and cheered as loud as they could. We all love this team, and the support is great. Results would be nice tho- |
Re: Indy Is Going Down
Well apparently the Colts board feels the need to give us a little pep talk.

Because he is that awesome. |
Fuck this

Re: Indy Is Going Down
Just remember I said it first when the Skins win. I'm leaving work to go play golf (in my case goof)and will not be back on line until Monday morning when I will be taking questions to how I knew we where going to win. I'd take post game question but I do not have the internet at home.
|
Re: Indy Is Going Down
finally a positive thread. i have been sayin the same stuff all week. the redskins will win this week. a joe gibbs coached team doesnt lose.
|
Re: Indy Is Going Down
LETS GO SKINS!
i really have a feeling that we will win for some wierd reason, just like the jax game. i feel like we will win......................hopefully. the guys at the colts forum are right, we really have a shot here. like they say 'any given sunday' |
Re: Indy Is Going Down
a joe gibbs coached team doesnt lose.
what? I'm having a hard time understanding that one. |
Re: Indy Is Going Down
I think we really need to get the ball first and score. Our secondary needs some support from the rest of the team. If we score on the opening drive, we have a shot.
|
Re: Indy Is Going Down
yeah, a s hot at not getting shut out. honestly, itll take a TOTAL 180 from this team for us to have any chance at all.
