It's funny how people like you keep rehashing the same arguments over and over again in multiple threads without actually using any reading comprehension skills whatsoever. We could be debating how I prefer pie or the answer to question #3 and you'd find someway of working in how you prefer Ramsey as your man crush over sweet cherry pie. Peyton and Marvin are on the same wavelength so we don't really have anybody better than him.

Moss is better than Wayne arguably right there with Marvin now.
Cooley is better than any tight end that he ever had.
I think that Portis is better than James.
Lloyd and Randle El are better than Stokely and the other guys.

The lines are pretty close

I am amazed at our offensive talent less one.

I never said we don't have talent on our offense. But again, you're comparing an offense that has been in place for quite a while now, to an offense that has been in place for two seasons, only to be changed again with Al Saunders coming into the picture. If Peyton Manning became our QB next year, he'd have to go through the same learning curve as any other QB trying to learn this system. While I believe he would do a better job than Brunell, I wouldn't expect ANY QB to come in and fix all of our problems,and it's idiotic to over simplify our problems by blaming it all on one position.

The whole team has played bad.

The QB position has the greatest ability to dictate the result of the game. Ours gave us negative points yesterday, therefore we were humiliated.

And when did I ever say that a QB would come in here and fix all of our problems? That would be an idiotic statement. Now our offensive problems lie with our hurt over the hill QB.

If Manning came here he would add 100 pages to the playbook. The guy is a coach on the field and I am in awe of how his ability to run an offense.

Bottom line you don't like the fact that someone has a different opinion than you, and your problem is you can't back up your opinions because your opinion is Brunell and Gibbs are the goods, and nothing they have done in 3 years since they arrived backs that up, intelligent conv. for you is everyone chat's and agrees with you regardless of fact.

So in ending I didn't ask you to join in this conv, you did that on your own, here's a real simple solution, if you don't like what someone has to say don't respond to it, stick with the Gibbs is god, and Brunell is the man crowd, you find it much less stressfull.

i do not see a guy that can take hits and keep going, i see a guy scared to get hit (happy feet) and a guy, that when he does get hit, usually doesn't practice for the next 3 days.

Brunell says pass protection yesterday was fine; therefore, it's all on him:

"I didn't play as well as I needed to," he said. "I thought our offensive line did a good job pass protecting. We ran the ball well. We needed to be more consistent in the passing game." The problem is, at this stage of his career, Brunell doesn't appear capable of playing as well as he needs to -- that is, well enough to take the Redskins deep into the playoffs.

This is somebody who has won a World Championship and knows more about football than all of you self proclaimed experts squared. And not only does he know more about football, he is a first hand expert (not a self proclaimed expert who can create a website) on Redskins football.

Listen to his viewpoint on the current situation. I want to see all of you self proclaimed high football IQ people discount him.

You're contradicting yourself in one post. Obviously you think that the QB can dictate if we win or lose, which basically says it doesn't matter what other problems we have, the QB can fix it all.

All I'm saying is, a better QB can help us and give us a spark, but this is a team sport, and he needs help from his offensive line to protect him. The Packers have been a great example of that....Farve is probably one of THE BEST QBs ever to play the game, and looked how he had struggled with his team in recent years. Now that he has gotten some better pass protection, the team is starting to win more games. The problems at QB is just part of the problem, but the lone solution. If Campbell comes in and lights it up, it does help us and it does give us a better chance at winning games, but he needs help from our OL and our defense.

This question does have to be asked, does leaving Brunell in equate to giving up on the season, but even more so does it equate to giving up on next season? Because Campbell will lose valuable experience this year which could equate into playoff's next season. Leaving Brunell in at this point is utter nonesense, we will head into the 2007 season not even knowing if Campbell is an NFL QB, when we could be finding this out now.

I said it before and I will say it again Gibbs is horrified to take Brunell out of a game. I just don't understand at this point why? Is Campbell really that bad?

Did I say that the QB alone dictates whether we win or lose? No. Next.

Did I say that the QB will fix all of our problems? No. Next.

In fact I was one of the first people on the site that severely critcized our defense and pointed out the noticeable decline in the D from 2004 to 2005. All I heard was Lemar is as good as Pierce. Rogers is as good as Smoot... Blah blah blah.

Next thing you know, Jason La Canfora puts a huge piece in the post that mentioned the same points.

I don't care if you're done with me or not. I disagree with you and feel your riding the fense. That's okay, we can agree to disagree and move on, but your recent posts have not indicated that you don't believe a change at QB can fix many if not all of our problems. I'm only trying to make you see that it isn't always as easy as plugging someone else in that position. There are plenty of variables that have caused us to be in the position where we're at right now. Again, I believe it's a team sport, and while one player can cause a spark, it takes the whole team being on fire to win ball games for us.

He already has a season with 49. You are right, 11 more is physically impossible.

Seriously guys, why not lighten up a bit? We are what we are. We're not a good team. The defense is a couple players away from being elite again. The offense has the playmakers and just needs a quarterback. Is it Campbell? I sure hope so, but if not, that's the position that needs to be addressed before this team even whispers playoffs or Super Bowl.
