Re: Can we shop Brunell?
bruenell will retire at seasons end. we need to draft a third string qb in the last round or pick up a league minimum f.a
No way Brunell retires. |
Re: Can we shop Brunell?
The only team in the NFL dumb enough to make that trade , already has . Three years ago , only one team offerd the Jags a draft pick for Brunnel , and of course as usual , we sent another pick on top of that when every other team knew he was done . He couldn't start for USC , OSU or LSU . I like MB, think he is a great guy but ,,,,,,,,,,, nobody makes that trade

Re: Can we shop Brunell?
Brunell for Vinny Testicleverde, You think the pat's would bite???? could be the franchise reviving move if we can pull it off.
brunell was considering retirement before this season started. but... maybe we can trade him to philly, seeing all of a sudden they need a quarterback( chuckle, chuckle)
Wher did you get that from its the first I've ever heard that he was considering retirement before this year. I'm not sure of his cap numbers but if we could work out a new deal that was cap friendly I'd like to see him stay as our 2nd guy. That would give us a good mentor for JC and MB would be fresh if needed to play. I think he is not totaly done but he does not have enough to play as a starter. The only problem is if we lost JC early in the year. |

Remember that super lame rumor that was going around that Brunell was thinking of retiring? I think it started when Portis was on NFL Total Access and he jokingly said that Brunell was going to retire due to his broken finger that he got while hunting. People took that joke of a comment and freaking ran with it. |

There where alot of happy people when the Skins signed MB and it would be intresting to find that thread to see what was said around here. I'm sure there was talk negative about the deal but most positive about him coming here. |

With what you know now about no teams intrested in him (must have been a season) and the fact that he can't even start for the Jets you still believe he could get the job done? |
Re: Can we shop Brunell?
What would we get for a guy with a high cap number that is way over the hill and is living off the accomplishments he had in jacksonville, dont get me wrong Brunell was a hell of a competitor in jax and lead them to some great years, but hes done, I dont think anybody would even part with a 7th round pick for him, and if they would he would be gone very quickly.

Re: Can we shop Brunell?
I'd trade an 8th round pick for him, if it meant we wouldn't have his contract on our books. ;)

Re: Can we shop Brunell?
Look at MB numbers I mean come on...he can demand a 1 and 2 round pick with cash and high profile free agents. I mean look at his game against the Titans!! I never seen such good quarterbacking in my life. He was dinking and dumping like he was from another planet. He plays so smart throwing the no risk 3 yard out pass or when he throws the deep ball cocking his arm like a cannon to throw the ball 30 yards its amazing.
And don't forget, "He's Super Smart" |
Re: Can we shop Brunell?
Can I sell that crap that won't go down the toilet on EBay? If so, what can I expect for it?

Sarcasm my man, Sarcasm!!!!! |
Re: Can we shop Brunell?
You'd be lucky if you got a 6th rounder.
|
Re: Can we shop Brunell?
I think we should try EBay. You can shop anything there...I think we can sell him at a low salary, then charge a bonus and draft pick for shipping and handling.
