Re: Eli Manning Sucks!!
peyton did fair well his first few seasons and neither did aikman or farve for that matter. eli will be fine. the jags have a good defense at home, he will turn it around but will struggle next year with tiki leaving

Re: Eli Manning Sucks!!
I didn't watch much of the game but B-Mitch and Jackson were saying that his receivers were awful (especially Burress) and that is playing a large role in his poor play.

Re: Eli Manning Sucks!!
Eli does suck! His mechanics are awful, and when he makes a mistake he looks like a 5th grader about to cry! I guess because his last name is Manning, the football world thought that he would be great like his brother! Not!! Damn, even sorry ass Brunell has a better QB rating than Eli. No that's TERRIBLE!

Someone has posted this before but I think it bears repeating:
Eli Manning = Billy Ripken More truth than poetry. |

One thing I love about that Borat movie is that it has brought NOT jokes back in style. There's a whole generation of kids who didn't know about not until recently. My next goal is to somehow bring back Psych. |

Re: Eli Manning Sucks!!
Because, just like Billy did, Eli shows flashes of ability but not the consistency of his older brother. As their careers wore on, the difference in ability became more pronounced. Billy had a definite ceiling to his ability - I am betting that Eli hits his soon (If he already hasn't).
Also, the personalities seem similar, Cal was the studious older brother and Billy the frat boy. It's more of a prophecy at this point rather than a statement of fact, but each year the comparison becomes clearer and clearer to me. |
