I wear my trotter, and arrington jerseys all the time. they look a bit tattered (they're all replicas) and I don't care what happens to them.

I have a stephen davis jersey that I still take pride in, even though he went to Carolina... I like the guy. Betts reminds me alot of davis, without the thighs...

which reminds me of beyonce... I used to sing the song, "betty davis eyes" but replace the lyrics with "stephen davis thighs" whenever I saw her lol...

I still have, and wear at times my origional Darrell Green #28 because it will never grow old. I'v had it for more than 20yrs.

On the subject of Ramsey's return, it's not likely Gibbs would consider bringing him back here. It would only serve to stir more public controversy which the team does not need at this time, nor do we need the services of Ramsey, and the same goes for Smoot.

people wear outdated jerseys cause they don't have the money lying around to buy new ones. Jerseys are a rippoff, people are just trying to get their money's worth, even if it is a faux pas, I don't criticize.

How about we trade our first round draft pick for that fast WR the jets have, I hear toe problems arent a big deal.

With the way players come and go on this team, you never know from one year to the next who's going to be here. I agree it's a rip off, but some may not see it that way. It may not be that people who go to games can't afford to buy a Jersey either, it could be they feel they spend enough otherwise, and spending for Jersey's is a futile experiment based on turnover. I've been going to Redskin games for more than fifty years, I can afford to buy Jersey's, but I'm not going to do it.

And as far as jerseys go, I have my Bruce Smith jerseys (bash him if you will, but he was one of the most dominant DEs in our lifetime), and proudly wear those. mustard stains and all (on the home white).

I don't think it's people can't afford them, it's that they are the casual fan that doesn't particularly care which jersey they wear. My wife bought me 2 of the 3 jerseys I have, and I bought her a #56 one 2 Christmases ago (which she refuses to wear now...so I have to get her a new one).

My buddy has an old Riggo one. I'd love to get one of the Hogs if they were offered. Perhaps I should just use one of those 40% off coupons and order a personalized one from reebok.

The difference between bringing Smoot and Ramsey back is that Smoot left in purely a contract dispute whereas Ramsey left because we didn't want him and he didn't want to be here.

I don't have the money to go to games........i get tickets from friends at the end of the season. I don't have the money to be buying jerseys every season. I let my gfriend wear my ramsey jersey at the jag's game. Better to have old jersey at games than none at all. Gotta get those colors flowing throughout the crowd.

I don't know what the Man Law case files say on this, but I'd think there has to be some kind of exception for former stars who played the bulk of their career with that team. IMO, Champ, Lavar, and and SDavis are all legit jerseys.

Ok, my closet now has Davis,Coles,Bailey,Smoot,Arrington,Portis and Cooley.:doh: I still sport the Davis every once in awhile, but mostly the Portis and Cooley. As Far as prices and not having $ to buy a new jersey, you just have to shop around. My Smoot,Arrington and Portis are all repla-thentics (sp?) really nice jerseys. Guess what I paid for them? $39.99 baby!! I only paid $29.99 for my other jerseys. And no they are not knock offs, I bought them from Marshalls. Every year they will have a few of the top sellers at those prices. So yes anyone can afford to buy a current jersey, just look around!

I have Coles, Davis, Doug Williams, Monk*, Riggins*, Moss*, Portis, Bailey, 2 Arrington (white / burgandy), 1 with my name, Taylor*, and Samuels. (*- authentic) I bought most myself, and I got a lot off e-bay. Believe it or not, I got those authentics from Korea and they were $75 if I recall. No kidding, $75 for authentic jerseys.
I no longer Williams because it doesn't fit anymore.
I refuse to wear the Coles, Davis, Bailey and Arrington jerseys because they no longer play for us.

Only if they meant a lot to your team and retired as yours. Some stipulations apply. Like Riggins is acceptable...even Monk. But someone that played for 1-4 seasons...no way. Davis can be overlooked, but the way he's trying to hang on in St. Louis is hurting him.
