This could certainly push Gibbs to retire from coaching--and I agree, who could blame him.

If they need him to help more at JG Racing, that also might put pressure on him as coach of the skins. We'll see. Prayers and best wishes to the Gibbs family!
Very sad, but expected if he steps down..... I want to cry.. :(

Right now I could care less about the 'Skins I just hope the poor kid pulls through.

The surgery he just went through was probably to install an IV catheter for chemotherapy. He's about to go through about 3-6 months of hell... :(

Man I feel sick for Taylor and the rest of the Gibbs family right now...

My thought are with Joe Gibbs and his family. I had a grandfather pass away from Leukemia.... Hopefully all goes well and his grandson is able to recover... 2007 should be dedicated and they should "Win one for the Gibbster".

Obviously this is something to keep an eye on, if his condition worsens I really think Gibbs would step down.
It's why he can hardly stand the thought of returning to the Washington area to battle the media and fans during the next NFL season while Taylor is battling for his life.

"Yep, yep," Gibbs said when asked whether it would be tough to leave. "I'm just praying everything goes smoothly and we don't have any kind of problems or setbacks, because I think it would affect me."
