i hope they give this fellow a chance too,he seemed like a very good PK,but

John Hall, who is that? He missed more games than he ever played, good riddance!
I still think Suisham's the way to go...he's young strong and accurate and he didn't get rattled in a tough situation (the Rams game). All he needed to work on was his kick-offs a little fine tuning should take care of that. Suisham will be a fine NFL kicker.
You might be right, but with our kicking woes, I'd rather spend the extra 500k for a proven FA.

I'd like everyone here to take a deep breath and relax for a moment.

A few years ago in that offseason, the prevailing thinking here in The Warpath locker room and on every Redskins fanboard was that the Skins were fleecing the stupid folks who ran the Jets. Remember we even called them "The Jet-skins"

Well, L. Coles is now back in NY after costing the Skins draft picks and dead money in the cap because of the botched way the FO handled his leaving.

C. Morton is back in NY - but with the Giants - returning punts.

If J. Hall leaves for no compensation, that was a signing that would have to be categorized as "marginally useful at best".

And Randy Thomas remains as the "last Jet-skin standing".

But the Jets were in the playoffs last year so which organization was fleecing which one...?

Do not - NOT - urge this FO to consider Vanderjagt as a signing in this offesason. That is NOT what this team needs. There are lots of free agent kickers out there who are not household names but who are ready to come in to some NFL team and have a good year in 2007 for something near the league minimum salary. THAT is what the Skins coaching staff/scouting staff needs to find!
