That's because you're part of the great anti-LaVar conspiracy. Now that the truth has come out - you just want to shove it under the rug. Face it, you just can't acknowledge the truth in LaVar's statement that Joe Gibbs is the worst coach he ever played for.
Go drink your kool-aid you anti-LaVar, Dale Lindsey loving, blame it on injury person. Admit it, you lay awake night thinking of ways to turn things into Anti-LaVar threads.
All I'm saying is Arrington tried to con me into buying his book "LaVar's Can't Miss Tips on Winning at Roulette...and Pie Recipes to Celebrate Your Win" |

Yeah, he got me with "The Definitive Answer To Question 3 (or Why Your Mama Hates Dale Lindsey").

Re: Dale Lindsey Gone...
It's official.
Olivadotti Promoted to LB Coach Kirk Olivadotti has been promoted to LB's coach. I'm not sure what to think of this move. We'll see if it pans out next season. |
Re: Dale Lindsey Gone...
So what should they have done differently with Betts? Let him go?
They should have let him play through his contract year to see if what he was doing is for real or just a few game fluke. Make him earn his new contract. Also by letting him play through his contract year the team could get that boost that always seems to come from players in their contract year and that boost may also push Portis to excell because he would not want to fall behind a surging Betts playing for a new big contract. |

Not sure what you mean, his contract was up this year so it was either re-sign him or let him walk. |
Kind of a surprise based on Gibbs history of retaining coaches. I admit I'm not totally disappointed.
does wilbur marshal or monte coleman coach?.. True skins that can teach these guys the meaning of the burgundy and gold!
I agree with you. Some of the guys on this team need to realize that it's an honor to put on that uniform. |
Re: Dale Lindsey Gone...
Lindsay was old school. Some guys can deal with it, some guys can't. I don't care if you bring in Mike Singletary. Regardless of who coaches the LB's there needs to be an upgrade in talent.

I agree. I'd like to see Washington and Rocky start on the outside with our # 6 draft pick going toward a force in the middle. |

As long as the D-line is pourous against the run, the play of the LBs will suffer. Dick Butkus in his prime may have struggled behind this unit. I agree that McIntosh has to be the starter on one side next year. |

I agree I think 90% of our defensive issues start with the line...We need a hard charging DE in the draft and maybe another DT through FA...we've been getting by on smoke and mirrors up front for awhile now and it finally caught up to us this year. |
Re: Dale Lindsey Gone...
We bring in A. Carter and draft 2 DT's ,,,, DL played poorly this year . The last three years we use the 5th pick & 9th pick < Taylor/ Rogers > and bring in AA this year ,, secondary play was horrible . We let , Trotter , Pierce , mitchell and La < who sucked > go and we fire the LB coach , not the DL or secondary coach ? Maybe Lindsey is a jerk , but had LB been given the attention our DL and secondary received , maybe the results would have been better .Good news is Olivadotti is well respected .

I agree, and there was a time in the NFL when players did have more pride in the positions they held on a team, and considered it an honor to be in the NFL. However, sadly those days have gone, and the "In your face" type approach has dissipated, players no longer respond to it because they know they can always get work elsewhere. They no longer feel threatened by the demanding concept. |
Re: Dale Lindsey Gone...
Based on the fact that players in their contract year always seem to play great. IMO they play extra hard because they know if they dont play great their contract may go down.
Of course the Redskins like to not bother with contract years and extend players that have had a few good games (Betts) thereby removing any discomfort and incentive for the player.
"players that have had a few good games (Betts)....." Betts had 1154 rushing yards this year! He's had 307 in '02, 255, 371, 338 and a total of 2425 and a 4.3 avg. Betts has played in a back up role with us. He is a Redskin! Hail 44 |
Re: Dale Lindsey Gone...
This is Washington Post quote about this Oliva guy...
Olivadotti has spent his entire seven-year NFL career with the Redskins. He joined the team in 2000 as a quality control coach, as well as assisting with the defensive backs. What the hell is that? Like he makes sure the food at Redskins Park is not rotting? |
Re: Dale Lindsey Gone...
Quality Control is what Coy Gibbs does these days
