It's a pretty kewl game that won pc game of the year last year. It's kind of a mixture of Half-Life action and Silent Hill freakiness. Wait another month or so and u should be able to find it for another 10-20 bucks cheaper if I had to guess. If he enjoys it, u 2 should check out some stuff about BioShock which is supposedly coming out sometime in June.

ive got both, 360 and ps3. ps3 is the real deal. tiger woods all day, all night. it's like it's always been, sony still makes better 'hardware' then microsoft.

Hey, a fellow warrentonite!

I have a sony erricsson phone and i'm very impressed with it. the features and ease of use is outstanding. I test drove a few sony viao laptops before getting the HP for the wife, but the quality seemed subpar.... I've only fooled with the ps3 at the store and it seemed pretty sleek, and I imagine there will be a plethora of games only available for that system like in the past...

I do love my 360 but I will definately be getting a ps3 within the next year...

BTW monk, since youre close to my age and everything and live in warrenton... have you been to the locker room yet? I was going to go last night but it was so packed i couldnt find parking so the wife and i went to JB's instead.

JB's is kinda dull... the food is great, but its not too busy and they aint' cheap... and its wayy to clean to be a sports bar. I've had great waitresses, though....

Well I did the deed last night and bought the 360. I'm just getting the hang of Gears and I've gotta say it's an amazing game. The graphics are unbelievable, especially on my HDTV but it looks pretty sweet on my regular TV too. I haven't gotten online yet but as soon as I do I'll give you guys my tag.

What are some must have games for the 360 other than Gears?

I downloaded the demo for Rainbow Six Vegas and that seems pretty tight, any others I should be looking at? I primarily only play sports games and shooters.

I like Elder Scrolls Oblivion and Call of Duty 3 and coming out soon is Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2. Looks like it will kick ass.

Oblivion especially if u love RPGs, but be prepared to lose touch with people once u start playing it.
Rainbow is awesome, Tiger Woods 07, MLB 2k7, Call of Duty 2, and Burnout Revenge are some good ones.
Ghost Recon 2 next week and Guitar Hero2 at the begining of April are gonna be sweet as well.
Plus even though it won't have the Skins, 2K has a new football game coming out for the 360 the same day as Madden.

EA owns the rights to the NFL teams so 2K is rumored to be doing their's with old school retired players and HOFers. So I guess we could wind up using skins after all by using the best players to put on the Skins uniform which would be freakin insane.

Yeah I've specifically held off on getting guitar hero until it comes out for the 360. Being able to download additional songs is going to rock.

Yeah our x-box rep was saying that Red Octane is aiming for that game to have the most downloadable content of any game out and might offer packs of songs by artist or concert event like OzzFest. I already have mine paid off, haha.

I just got gears of war... I had it confused with Chrome Hounds, which I didn't like at all... but after reading all the reviews here and all over the web I got GOW.

I played solo for a while and had a blast... so I went online and had some fun in unranked play... I gotta learn the maps...

what are the 3 different games... asassin and what else... what's the difference?

warzone is just u trying to kill the other team however u can, assasin is where u have to kill the other teams captain to win, and execution u only get killed and kills via curb stomps, chainsaws, grenades, and headshots.

I mean 400 bucks and paying a extra 200 cause a system has blue ray HD for movies, by the way what asshole would pay 600 dollars for a gaming system to watch DVD's (if this someone out there, oops) my PS3 is back in the box, and im getting ready to sell it? I dont need a system thats doesnt give me something more spectacular than a blue rays player, hell i have a great surround sound system...................PEACE

Man, that's not cool. You can beat the game on a lazy weekend. So far my total Zelda: Twilight Princes play time is 17 hours and I'm barely done with 20% of the game. It's no shot and ask question later but it's definitely fun.

I liked the single player better than the first one but the online IMO doesn't compare to another tom clancy game: Rainbow Six Vegas.
