I am excited to have Smoot back and if nothing else it looks like we have a little more depth at CB than we did last year - for now at least. I was wondering if anyone has heard anything on Daniel Graham? I really think that he could help the redskins, great blocker and an underrated reciever. He would look real nice in a skins uniform next year.

By the way Claytons numbers on Smoots contract don't match anyone else's.So just a heads up those numbers might not be right.

that would be tight, ST doesnt look right in 21, much better in 36.

i loved smoot hated seeing him go he is a great player playing for the redskins and leonard davis said today according to the story on nfl.com it is betwwen the redskins and the cowboys of where he is going to sign and daniel graham would look great in a redskins jersey and what is all this talk of donte stallworth is that really going to happen

davis and graham probably want too much money. todd wade to play OG or OT is a better option if the skins can get him to re-sign. he's definitely second tier though, so he's probably waiting for the big names to die down to see what teams are interested.

for a TE - the skins are probably only looking at depth. erron kinney might be an option, maybe a guy like tony stewart. i'd guess either a somewhat no-name as average depth, or a UDFA OL guy that's just brought in to block.

Yeah i saw that as well.With that being said i saw a rumor yesterday that he wanted to go to Dallas.The only reason he was visiting with the Skins and the Giants.Was to raise the money that he was going to get.I would like to see us get him only to screw the Cowboys over.Then again if Dallas pays him a lot of money that sounds good to me.

He wouldn't be bad if he had more weight to him. Basicly he is a Cooley type TE and we need more of a blocking TE...

So far we have been very good in free agency. If we give that lazy fat boy 50 million I will be pissed, but if we give him 32 million I will be happy.

i am happy he's back and honestly every corner in this league gets beat on occasion. I like how our secondary is starting to look on paper. I look for a big year out of rogers. at least he better have a break out season.

He is only like 10lbs bigger than Cooley, I would want a 280 to 290 TE almost like having a OT on the end that can catch...

Like I said there is only 10lbs. difference between him and Cooley, I would like to see us get a TE that is just like having another OT on the line. We already have a pass catching TE in Cooley, either way Wiggins and Cooley fall in the positions of a pass catching TE not really known for their blocking. Although IMO Cooley gets a bad rap for his blocking. I see nothing wrong with his blocking ability...

The thing is we don't run many double TE sets in passing situations. That's why Pucillo filled the role of blocking TE last year, but there wasn't much need for another TE that could catch.

Yeah, I think we're fine at tight end, yet almost everywhere we hear it's a need. I don't get it.

If they want to find a Ron Middleton-type tight end (who weighed around 270 and did nothing but block his whole career) then we can find that very late in the draft, or even through undrafted free agency.

mikes sellers is 280+ and blocks, pucillo is even heavier and blocks. both were used as TEs. i think the TE thing is more about depth than NEEDING a blocking TE.

Yeah, I agree, but it would be nice to have a big body like that in the red zone or goal line situations that we can play action to. Dont get me wrong I think that Cooley does a great job in the red zone and goal line situations but it would be nice to have that option of a big blocking TE to roll out and find in the back of the endzone, almost like a tackle eligable. But we could also use him as bait on 3rd and short situations too.
