What a crazy thread!! I can't stand internet tough guys. It really shows weakness more than toughness. I could be 6'6 300lbs or 5'3 115lbs and no one would know it. Anyone can threaten someone with a friggin keyboard. If he really wanted to prove how right he is, then he should have beaten his opposers with facts, stats and football talk. It's pretty sad that he got so flustered he couldn't talk through it without cussing out mods, throwing out discriminatory slurs (f**got), and physically threatening people. I'm not a model of patience, don't get me wrong. But I live in Gainesville, Fl, so Redskins fans are few and far between. So when I log on here and get to talk about my beloved Skins with fellow hogs I find it hard to get mad at anyone, even if I REALLY disagree with their opinion.

Probably a bad decision by JLC to instigate a internet battle but I tend to agree that the mods totally seem like mouthpieces now. It may be a little bias in evaluation but since they moved over to the official board I have gotten that feeling often. I avoid the place because it hasn't ogtten any better in terms or organization and appeal. This place is far and away better as are several other boards.

What did Art say to ruffle the feathers of JLC so much? Anyone want to let me in? I don't feel like slumming over there in extremeland.

Personally, and I'm not just saying this because I'm a moderator here, I don't see how anyone can say the mods here suppress opinions or ban people when they disagree with the mod-created opinions here.

I frequently disagree with BeemsnSeven, Irish, Htownskinsfan, ArtMonkDrillz, and even Offiss (among others) but ask any of them I've ever threatened to ban them because we disagreed?

We don't ban people for dissenting opinions, it's pretty insulting to suggest otherwise

I've only been on this site for about 7 months, and I've disagreed with a few mods I think. But I never got my chops busted for it. Differing opinions are what this site is all about!!! Can we get back to talking about football? I think the Landry question is one of the most interesting topics to discuss regarding the upcoming draft. It seems like a move that is outside of the box but that is exactly why I like it. Plus, if it is even an option in the minds of the Redskins decision makers, it is flying completely under the radar.

It would be splashy and a bit "controversial" and that's exactly why I don't like it. Sometimes it doesn't hurt to just be boring and go for the conventional choice. We always try to make the front page top fold headline, but we don't need to be.

If we trade down and Landry is one our picks that's fine, but I don't think we're better off picking him #6 and passing on D-Line help

I heard the Falcons are high on LaRon Landry. If rumors started floating that we were targeting Landry as well, Atlanta may come off one of their second round picks to swap first round picks with us. That would put us in the 8th spot, where we could still get one of the elite D-lineman in the draft....

Yeah, it's outside of the box, and yeah he could be a great safety... but honestly ask yourself what's the best choice to win football games. I think our DL is so sub-par right now.

I think it was beem earlier who said that last year wasn't a fluke... the DL is just getting old. I tend to agree with him. maybe we should start investing draft picks on a DL, maybe trade down and get a couple. Who knows, but I really don't want to go into next season with the same DL, somethings has to change.

Believe me, thinking about Taylor with Landry gives me the chills, it would be fun to watch... but it won't win as many games when the QB has all day long in the pocket.

Yeah, it would be nice to have another top end safety, but, I may be a puppet here, I think that a DT or DE would be best for our D. Before everyone starts calling me "[B]Pinocchio[/B]" hear me out. I look at the Pittsburgh Steelers D. I mean for the longest time there secondary sucked. Thier corners got beat like they stole something. But thier D was always in the top 10. That is because they had a very good front 7 that could rush the QB. IMO, you do not need to have top secondary players if your front 7 keeps the QB on his back or on the run.

So I believe that by drafting a stud DT or DE that will indirectly help out secondary...
