I'll give you two reasons. Subtract one Adam Archuleta. Subtract one Warrick Holdman.
If the reason for last years poor D is because of 2 players then this team needs a new d coordinator. I think last years bad D was due to the personell and scheme not matching up well. Hopefully the coaches can do a better job of putting this D (and the team as a whole) in a better position to win. |

Classic addition by subtraction. Doesn't hurt to also add a surefire tackling machine like Fletcher-Baker, either. |

So you'd argue that a genius DC could win with both of them? Would you also argue that had Springs been healthy and Rocky started the whole season we wouldn't have been better? By your argument, teams shouldn't trade specific players, they should just trade whole defenses since it's all about scheme. |

Totally agree. I bet he is the biggest addition to our defense we have this year. Either him or Landry. |
Re: Your 2007 Redskins guarantee
I'll be the first to say it I guarantee 7 Burgandy and Gold helmets on this years Pro Bowl team.

|
Re: Your 2007 Redskins guarantee

Re: Your 2007 Redskins guarantee
2 wins against Dallas
1 win against Philly 2 wins against NYG A top 10 D, a top 15 O and a top 5 ST |
Re: Your 2007 Redskins guarantee
This go be my first year with Direct TV and Im hyped about every skin game, but I think we improve to 7-9 or 8-8, if we win more than 8 it will be 10 games, but if we fall short of making the playoff's I guarantee that we get the players we need in the draft and a couple in free agency, and we will be in the Superbowl in 2009, (cause Jason Campbell will be a big play receiver who can go over the middle) plus we will fix the D-Line and say good-by to Marcus Washington- (maybe Lance Briggs) good by to Shawn Springs we will be a superstar pass rusher and run stopping DT from being one of the top 4 teams in the NFC.....(in 2009)... but if I'm wrong guys........guess what? that means we made the playoffs...........09 baby..09

Re: Your 2007 Redskins guarantee
I guarantee that we host the Dolphins in week one.
|
Re: Your 2007 Redskins guarantee
I guarantee I'll be at every home game minus the preseason.
I also guarantee that we will do better than the Wade Phillips regime in Dallas, remember he has never won a playoff game. |
Re: Your 2007 Redskins guarantee
redskins will go 13-3 with homefeild and make the superbowl. " Anything less than a NFC championship would be a big failure", as said by clinton portis (NFL Network)
|
Re: Your 2007 Redskins guarantee
Either 7-9 or 10-6. Ideally we would finish 13-3 and have home field advantage :)
|
Re: Your 2007 Redskins guarantee
I also guarantee Landry and Taylor will combine for 15 forced turnovers.
|
Re: Your 2007 Redskins guarantee
-Andre Carter will have a double-digit sack total
-We'll go for a field goal instead of a touchdown at some crucial point and the "Has Gibbs Lost It" threads will start -Jason Campbell will have a 2:1 TD to INT ratio, let's say 22 and 11 -Earthquake will have at least 30 posts that say simply "Bad call ref!" -Clinton Portis will have a 200 yard rushing game -GTripp will write a "YTD comparison Campbell '07 vs. Brunell '06" thread around week 5 -Mike Espy will return a kick for a TD -SBF will ask for his own forum specifically to start "Here are pictures of what I'm cooking this weekend" threads -Carlos Rogers will drop an easy INT week one, but make up for it as the season goes on -SmootSmack will drop a dozen names -Redskins will go 11-5 |

Two words: Old school.
Toughest team in the East which equals toughest team in the NFL. A few times this year the scoreboard may tell them they won but their body will tell them they lost. I feel sorry for anyone who has to come into our house. |

Re: Your 2007 Redskins guarantee
Skins will improve, but probably miss the playoffs by half a game to a game. Rarely if ever in recent memory has a NFL team so lowly thought of comes out and gets into the playoffs with a really solid record. That being said I will never again make a positive preseason prediction with the Skins. Why? Simple I always say 10-6 or 11-5 and the end up with the reciprocal record. Only time that hasn't happened was 8-8 Marty. Pick low and if they perform like they should, you will be pleasantly proven wrong. Pick them high and if they blow it you are bummed out for another whole frigging year.I have to agree with the Sporting News though anywhere from 7-9 to 9-7. THey will improve, but have 9 playoffs teams to contend with.

I feel sorry for anyone who has to come into our house.
Fedex isn't squat compared to RFK. RFK had the rabid fans, the stadium literally rocked and was extremely, extremely hard to win in. Fedex is just big, it reminds me of the Big House in MI. Michigan fans are rather lame and not really rabid football fans. For a stadium 100,000+ it isn't all that loud as say Ohio Stadium or LSU's stadium. Not knocking the Fedex crowd per say, but the RFK days had REAL Fans packing the house, screaming their heads off, while now you have the "casual" fan taking over the stadiums. Casual meaning not really into the game, but just there to party or something to do. I know Fedex can get loud, but with 90,000+ it should be deafening, especially with divisional games. This is not just Fedex, but everywhere, and not only in the NFL. The NBA is horrible that way. Last few times I have been to the Palace to see the Pistons you see a bunh of Oakland Co yuppies getting sloshed, paying little attention to the game. |

And i guarantee in that game Portis runs for 166 yards and 3 Tds and Betts goes for 114 and 1TD and Campbell goes for 2 himself. The defense forces 6 tounovers and everyone posts about how great the victory was.
