dont care. when crap like this happens just seems that more often than not over the last 3 years MB is the QB |
Uhhhh yeah, did you watch the game??????? Brunell looked like crap he had one nice throw on the 4th down to Hoag other than that there was nothing.
Uhhhh..yeah sure did. :pffff: Nothing wrong with Brunell tonight. You people are just desperate to find anything wrong with the guy. |
Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
Say what?
Chances don't win the game. Almost doesn't count. We ALMOST won the game. Well we didn't. Now what? I'm not saying Brunell is the root of all evil and that he sucks at life and needs to die. I'm just saying his best days are by him. I think we don't need him to be a good team. He's just kinda there. |
Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
Yo relax man. Its just a preseason game.
cant relax until our next game because we lost. |
Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
One day it will be the Super Bowl.
And a fine day it will be. :D (Some optimisim in the face of pessimism, since everyone's all pissy over the preseason game now)
Well, considering this will be Brunell's last season (cap figures will make him stupid to keep after this season) I doubt it will be an issue unless we make the super bowl this year, and if we do, it will be because Campbell kicked ass, and it will be his team to win or lose on that stage. One of the reasons I hate preseason is cause of all the crazy fans that over value it. They have nothing else better to do in the offseason but wait for the preseason then of course they feel the need to play internet GM. |

Brunell is way past his prime, this is the second week in a row he looked bad. There is a reason he was demoted to 3rd string, he just doesn't have it anymore. Please tell me what you saw in Brunell today that looked good other than that 4th down pass? |

You know what...there was a bad earthquake in Peru this week (no pun intended.) How dare Mark Brunell allow such a thing to happen? If it wasn't for Mark, we'd not be in Iraq right now. |

You got a link showing me where Brunell has been demoted to 3rd string? |

Well, in a few weeks, this loss will mean absolutely jack shit. Go drink a few corona's and don't worry about a MEANINGLESS GAME. |

It looked pretty obvious to me when Todd Collins came in after JC got hurt. |

You know as soon as Brunell screws up everything goes to pot. Brunell gets demoted. The world starts spinning sideways on its axis. The planets all align. It's like the end of the world. Damn, ya'll don't know this by now? |

That just means that Gibbs wanted to get him some time, nothing has been said or even rumored about this. |

Can't really blame Touchdown Jesus for that collapse but I would like to know what he planned to do if that last ball had been caught by us. It was classic when he started out with the wide receiver screen. He did sling it around tonight but one shot to any part of his body and that will disappear. Anyone still grasping to the idea that this guy can give you anything, I don't know what to tell you. |

Maybe because it is FREAKIN' PRESEASON!!!!!!!! UGH!!!!
|
Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
It was already determined this week that Collins was going see time tonight as the 2nd string QB. Relax Brunell haters.

Exactly it's pretty bad when Brunell can't do anything against teams 3rd string defenders. |

It was classic when he started out with the wide receiver screen.
Brunell calls his own plays now. Campbell just said he "Thanks God" that his injury isn't too serious. Another Bible Thumper. |

Take the good with the bad. They are showing good signs. Enjoy them, and hope the good will roll over to the regular season. |

What does being a Christian have to do with anything? I take strong offense to that. |

My folks are Christian. But I don't practice. But I too can't help but be a little weirded out by the fact that some people seem to have a problem with the God thing. This isn't the seperation of church and state here, if he wants to thank God or Satan or the Boogeyman in under his bed, I think he can. |

Oh my goodness, get over it. jeesh. To me, saying things like this is worse. Cause Campbell isn't trying to push his religion on you, but by you calling him a bible thumper, you're trying to push your views on us...no matter how right or wrong you are. So let's keep religion to a religious thread. I shouldn't have to listen to your agnostic crap while talking about Brunell. |
Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
I am drinking but I am coming down a bit know. Still pissed though. Not that we lost the way we lost. Havent given up a pre-season TD and we lost WTF.
Brunell played three drives.
And the two QBs in front of him played relatively well. Time to start looking elsewhere for the offensive problems. QB will not be a problem this year for us, and save Campbell's first few starts last season (which of course are no longer relavant), really hasn't been a consistent problem for us since 2004. Offensive line is a pretty big question mark, Clinton Portis' knee too, and our receiver depth is pretty bad. We dont, however, have a Quarterback problem. |
Re: The long overdue nail in the coffin for Brunell..
Does anyone else feel like a fine is in order for that "cheap shot"!!

I was being sarcastic. It relates to the first post in this thread. "Putting the bible on the back burner". There are some who think Brunell got a free ride because he was religous but they seem to completely miss the fact that Campbell is also religous. We've been over this and I made my anti-antireligous position clear. |
