Knowing Leftwich's alleged adversity to practicing hard, and Coughlin's drill sargeant tendencies that'd be quite a combo to see.
I also believe that Leftwich doesn't want to be the baindaid until Manning comes back. He wants a team that will keep him as #1.

Re: Eli Manning out at least a month

I just saw a interview on SportsNet of Eli being questioned about the shoulder and the rumors about a dislocation and he said that its not, thats its just bruised. He said that he's day to day, and plans to be back in practive in about two days.

This could be pretty interesting. ESPN is still saying that he's gonna be out at least a month with a dislocated shoulder, and doesnt mention the fact that Eli said its not.
I was going to wait until Giants week before trotting out a Lorenzen nickname thread.. The Hefty Lefty and The Pillsbury Throwboy are my faves.. Any others?
I like "The round mound of touchdown" myself.

Not that I think (or hope) it will happen, but if this guy comes in and lights it up for a week or two, would you keep Eli on the bench?I mean even if he does well do you think its possible that he could be a full time starter in this league.Thats a big boy and he has to be hard to bring down, but he cant be particularly mobile.

I want to thank all of you out there for your concern on Eli,what will most likely happen is resign Hasselbeck and L-Load will start.Eli was playing well in the game I believe had we not got decimated by the injuried the pukes would have lost.:smashfrea
Ok everyone thinks this is a big deal for Eli to be out but you are the same guys who says he sucks. So why does it matter?
Um before he got hurt, Eli played pretty damn well. I think he is an up or down QB. I wouldn't say he sucks, but he is inconsistent. But if we randomly see the good Eli on gameday, thats bad news for us.

Some clips of this guy with a few highlights. From what I have heard he isn't too bad of a QB, and kinda a fan favorite in NY like Ethan Albright is here.

They also call him J.Lo lol.

This guy is actually pretty damn fast for his weight, checkout this block in preseason and how he gets downfield. His speed is almost unreal for his weight.

The Hefty Lefty, the Pillsbury Throwboy. I have yet to see this man attempt a pass though. Would be nice to see what we may be up against in a couple weeks.

Not bad news...he's pretty bad when he's healthy so if he tries to play against us with a bad shoulder... :food-smil

Accurately? I will believe that when I see it. Anyway that is necessarily that mark of a good quarterback. So what Patrick Ramsey was always said to have a great arm. I have a feeling there is a reason this guy is a backup.

Well of course he can, all he has to do is put his weight behind the throw.

Re: Eli Manning out at least a month

I remember watching this guy a few years back when he was at U. of Kentucky. Helluva player.
He plays kinda like a huge Doug Flutie, but can also throw well in the pocket. I thought a lot of teams would've nabbed him before the g-men did.

He is certainly no one to sleep on. With a game behind him he will be much more confident as well.
