Re: Redskins vs. Cowboys predictions
It pains me to say this but
Dallas 38 Redskins 9 I predict that Gibbs will be overly conservative in the beginning, particularly in the red zone where we will settle for field goals, while Dallas gets TDs. Once the game really gets out of hand, Campbell won't have enough horses at WR to challenge the Dallas secondary, and that's when I see Ware perhaps forcing a Campbell fumble or two. |
Way to be loyal to your team, guys...picking DALLAS...mail your fan cards back to Gibbs and go buy a blue jersey. If you pick the team's worst enemy, that's like calling Santa Claus gay and expecting presents under your tree...or telling a woman she actually DOES look fat in those jeans. You're just not a diehard Skins fan. It's like having the choice between the woman of your dreams and Rosie O'Donnell...and taking ROSIE home. :pffff:
Seriously...this is DALLAS...you can't pick them and be a real fan. Throw records, rosters and stats out the window for this game...it's DALLAS. Things don't go as expected in this matchup ALL the time. "Reality" should not cloud your loyalty THIS Sunday.
unbelievable...when was the last time so many hard core skins fans predicted a loss against Dallas?
Probably the last time they met AT Dallas and the cowboys were 8-1 (running away with the division) and the skins were 5-4. |
Let's hear 'em
I don't even want to put up a predicted score. I simply predict sheer ugliness. What I hope dearly for is not getting beat by more than 40 points again, which is hardly a remote possibility. |
Re: Redskins vs. Cowboys predictions
I never seen so many panzy Redskins fans who do not even give their team a chance. So you say your keeping it real good for you. I'm starting to dout how many skins fan are really on this site. Maybe the ones who leave 5 min before the game is over and yell sit down. Hey To all the Dallas fans who come to this site if our team has this much drive I would start your 2nd stringers and let Romo stand on the side lines and just smile as they 2nd's run up the score. Or hey just for a laugh tell your Dallas buddies to come read these post for a goof laugh at what I thought were Skin fans. Thats what they would do if it was a team we were playing and saw post like these. But hey they are keeping it real.

Re: Redskins vs. Cowboys predictions
45-21 if we play Cover 2
28-21 if we blitz ... they are the superior team... I predict Gibbs to continue to coach with no balls and burn at least one TO for nothing... and Williams to continue to let teams beat us with dump off plays to their backs and play Cover 2 so 45-21 is the more realistic and if Moss cant play ... I suggest cut him at years end |
Re: Redskins vs. Cowboys predictions
I have to say Cowboys will win big (something like 35-14) - with injuries mounting for the Redskins a big issue. When Taylor went out in the 3rd quarter last week we saw a prelude of things to come for our defense in the next few weeks. Our defensive line has not been getting pressure on the qb and with all the WR's hurt or out I can't see the passing game putting any fear into remaining teams on our schedule. Teams will now stack the line and dare JC to beat them and we will end up somewhere between 7-9 and 9-7 depending on how the other teams fare as far as injuries (i.e. - we better hope Adrian Peterson is out when we play Minnesota).
I, like most of the Skins fans are diehard but we are also realistic. Put it this way - if you could flip flop the players on the teams and put the game in Washington wouldn't you say the Redskins would win? |

Re: Redskins vs. Cowboys predictions
We have lost so many games we should have won this year, we are overdue for an upset. The Skins do this all the time, people insane after a heart-breaking loss and everyone writes them off as a bunch of losers. Then, the next week they play well enough to be a playoff caliber football team. I expect to see that playoff team this weekend and a lousy fourth quarter effort from Dallas.
Skins- 14 Cowboys- 13 |
Re: Redskins vs. Cowboys predictions
Well, like Bugel just said, were due for an "upset" win, Dallas is "due" for a loss (if there is even such a thing, its just kind of trends you see happen ever year)...even with that
God this sucks.... Dallas 30 Washington 17. I really really really hope I'm wrong. I could really see us having (another) halftime lead in this game too and somehow it slipping away.. (Btw I never pick the Skins to lose, even when I do, so Redskins 100 Dallas 1 (thats right, no touchdowns, 1 extra point, will be my official score). |
Re: Redskins vs. Cowboys predictions
Skins- 28
Cowgirls- 20 Roy Williams gets burned all day. |
Re: Redskins vs. Cowboys predictions
Bad guys - 28
Skins - 17 Portis wants to run the ball, here's his chance cause God knows, with the depleted WR core we have, we probably won't be passing much unless we absolutely have to. (Even though I know we COULD if we took that chance). Dallas has too many weapons while all our weapons are on the injured list. Get ready for another uber conservative game. :frusty: |
Re: Redskins vs. Cowboys predictions
Dallas - 38
Washington - 14 |
Re: Redskins vs. Cowboys predictions
If we play conservative we definitely loose, and Ill say the score would be somewhere around: DAL 35, WAS 21
BUT, the only hope that I am holding onto is that the offensive strides we took last week will develop into leaps and bounds this week. If Campbell plays like he did last week, if the line can give him time, if we play hurry up again, and if we "open it up," as they say, and take more shots down field then maybe...maybe we can keep up with Dallas, and win: WAS 35, DAL 30 (But I seriously doubt it at this point) |

Dallas is 8-1. They're undefeated in the division. Their only loss is to the best team the NFL has seen in decades, maybe ever. They score a lot. We're going into their house. We don't score a lot, we're riddled with injuries, we're 1-2 in the division, and we have a tendency to give games away. I love my skins, but explain to me how I'm a pansy for picking Dallas to win?? Like Daseal says, does not having unrelenting optimism make me less of a fan?? |

Re: Redskins vs. Cowboys predictions
I think we will beat Dallas in OT this time. I'm saying 21-24 Redskins. DO NOT count out Moss just yet I have a sneaky feeling he will be activated last minute and have his way with Newman and Williams, he is definately due for a big game. Springs and GW's scheme usually do well against T.O., even when he was with the eagles(I'm saying on average not all the time). Its going to be close just watch

Just look at college football this year or the year that Dallas had only one win against us and we won the SB. I have never gone into a game or watched a game that I thought there was no chance of winning. It happens every day that a underdog wins and so there is always hope. I never seen so many SKins fans throwing in the towel to of all teams Dallas. We saw it again last night that a unranked team Arizona beat Oregon I beat Arizona always thought they had a chance to win that game. Is it a up hill battle? Yes, but there is always the chance for the win an until its over I'm not throwing in the towel. So if you give up before the game ever starts yes you are a panzy and you will lose every time. |

College football and NFL football are 2 totally different levels. But NFL-wise, I mean, what are the chances of the Dolphins beating the Pats? Yeah they MIGHT. But they probably WONT. Come on down from that pedestal. Nothings wrong with drinking the kool-aid but then there's losing touch with reality and the reality is, is that injuries are killing us and Dallas is on a roll. Of course we MIGHT win, and I hope to hell we do, but considering the way we're playing lately, the 2nd half letdowns, the injuries and the inconsistency; We probably won't. |

What the pedestal that says we have a chance to win any given Sunday. OK college is different and in the NFL always the best team wins every game. |

The best teams DO tend to win every game. Granted that average teams do come around and beat the best teams but it's only because the average teams are working on all cylinders for that one game. Can you say with the killer injuries we have faced over the past 8 weeks that we're working on all cylinders? No. I'm not saying we're not going to win or that we're incapable of winning the game. We have pulled Hail Mary's out our ass before and I know we can do it again, but the odds are stacked against us. The kool-aid drinkers see these odds and throws them out the window. The average schmo like me, that only drinks the kool-aid every now and then, sees the odds, the injuries, the 2nd half meltdowns and goes, "Oh shit." The fact of the matter is, we have a very slim chance of winning. Whilst the chance is always there, it's just a matter of are we going to seize it? Lately that answer is no and we've played very mediocre teams (Minus the Pats). Against a very strong Cowboys team that chance becomes even slimmer. I don't think how people feel about the odds of us winning even matters around here. It's all for shits and giggles. I don't think anyone here would even bother trying to predict odds if they didn't bleed burgandy and gold. Isn't that what matters at the end of the day anyway? |

They're just predictions man. That's all. My prediction is Dallas 28-20. There are a few people who don't think we have a chance. Sure underdogs win, but this team hasn't done much to give us confidence with the NE showing and the games we've given away. You say "until it's over I'm not throwing in the towel."
